  2. I can't get to it either (on a computer) . The article appears for a moment then disappears but the cruise critic page top and bottom are still there but no content.
  3. This is disappointing and why announce the change now? We shouldn't find out just as the Aussie sailings start especially as the Cunard site nor our documents reflect deviations for certain markets. I don't want to feel like I am on another cruise line, I want to feel like I am on Cunard. Yes, cruisers may dress to a "lower dress standard" on APT and Scenic but that is the dress code on those lines.
  4. I am boarding QE next Saturday in Melbourne and haven't heard about the changes. Where can I find information about this amendment? thanks Jo
  5. I'm pretty sure it's a H&S issue, with anything over 23kg getting a "Heavy" tag attached. I try and keep to a personal limit of 16kg for our checked bags. The 7kg carry on is a struggle for us (especially on a 6-8 week trip) with meds, small laptop and a change of clothes.
  6. The E-tickets for our upcoming Queen Elizabeth cruise out of Melbourne states that maximum luggage weight is 20kg per bag which I have never seen before from Cunard.
  7. We were on the Solstice in March this year (Auckland to Sydney). Once we embarked in Auckland, there was no possibility of getting back off. Jo
  8. I've never encountered it an airport either, but it was announced a number of times over the entire ship before we got off in each port. I think it was in the daily printed info as well.
  9. There were numerous announcements on our Celebrity cruise when we arrived at each port reminding us of the restrictions on what can't be taken off the ship. Australia and NZ are very cautious when it comes to bringing food etc into the country. You may even see sniffer dogs (and they not just checking for food - wink, wink) at the gangway.
  10. You cannot take non-commercially bottled water off the ship into Australia and NZ.
  11. Can anyone please tell me the brand of resistance tubes with handles that are used in the gym on Solstice? DH wants to use them. thanks Wombat
  12. I haven't asked Celebrity and I have no idea what it is. We do not have any dates of importance, perks or TA add-ons but it has been on our account for both our cruises.
  13. I noticed that my TA group was cc'd in one the Move-Up offer email.
  14. We were on Silhouette last August and we were scheduled to dock at one location in Dublin but only when approaching the port, it was obvious the location had changed. The taxis and tour operators were on the ball and all turned up at the right place. Originally, no free shuttles were to be offered, but as the new berth was further out, the shuttles were free. Plenty of taxis were lined up (both pre-booked and vacant).
  15. Our Move-Up offer came in this morning. We are in a C3 on Solstice 29 Mar from Auckland. We do not have any included perks. Gratuities are included in the fare as it is an Australian booking. Celebrity would not even honour the Captains Club benefit of a complimentary upgrade in Concierge class saying our booking was not eligible 😞 Move-up Offers: Royal Suite from $3110 AUD pp Celebrity Suite from $1840 AUD pp Sky Suite from $1130 AUD pp Aqua from $210 AUD pp I'm not sure whether to take up the Sky Suite offer or stick with what we have.
