  1. And you meet the nicest people in that area of the ship!
  2. Been on two different crises utilizing deck 6 window suite. Kept our shades open almost all the time with no issues of privacy. There is a chain limiting access to that area for crew only. When on rare occasions crew walked by, they always looked away so as not to appear to be looking into the room. If you don't use a balcony on a cruise it is a good price for a suite. We also like the location in relation to all of the venues on the ship. However, the Navigator is compact and it is not that far to anything on the ship.
  3. Golf attire is always welcome at out table. Dine with us anytime.
  4. The Case 8:21-cv-00839-SDM-AAS, STATE OF FLORIDA vs. XAVIER BECERRA, Secretary of Health and Human Services, in his official capacity; HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES; ROCHELLE WALENSKY, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in her official capacity; CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION; The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a "COMPLAINT FOR DECLARATORY AND PRELIMINARY AND PERMANENT INJUNCTIVE RELIEF". The complaint has nothing to do with Florida's law dealing with outlawing proof of vaccination. The complaint asks for the following: a) Hold unlawful and set aside the Conditional Sailing Order. b) Issue preliminary and permanent injunctive relief enjoining Defendants from enforcing the Conditional Sailing Order. c) Postpone the effective date of the Conditional Sailing Order. d) Declare unlawful the Conditional Sailing Order. e) Declare that the cruise industry may open with reasonable safety protocols. f) Award Florida costs and reasonable attorney’s fees. g) Award such other relief as the Court deems equitable and just. The ruling is a preliminary injunction pending trial on the issues set forth in the complaint. Neither the preliminary injunction nor the trial on the complaint, as far as I can see, will deal with proof of vaccination.
  5. Perhaps they are all still trying to read through the entire ruling. Worth reading the whole thing if for nothing other than finding the Thomas Jefferson quote. The ruling is very informative. However, if you want just skip forward to about page 122 and just read the ruling. If you were worried about what happens when you are dumped off the ship in some foreign port when you test positive you should be even more concerned. http://myfloridalegal.com/webfiles.nsf/WF/SSWN-C44RE6/$file/Order+on+PI.pdf I’m willing to take my chances and sail knowing that I had better have a credit card with sufficient limits to cover an extended stay.
  6. Can only speak to Splendor. They are metal. There is a YouTube video of the suite.
  7. "Oh, that's very different, Never mind!", Emily Litella.
  8. I, for one, will refuse to cruise with "drunk, amputee monkeys" at the helm.
  9. Let me point out that I don't work for Regent. I am not accepting any free cruises for this advice, however, if they offer I'll take it. (Cruise anywhere on any Regent ship for any length of time). I believe that it was an attempt at extension which was just too late. From the Title: “THIRD MODIFICATION AND EXTENSION OF NO SAIL ORDER AND OTHER MEASURES RELATED TO OPERATIONS” From Applicability: “This Modification and Extension of No Sail Order and Other Measures Related to Operations “ From: Findings and Immediate Action “Accordingly, the following terms and conditions of the No Sail Order and Other Measures Related to Operations signed on March 14, 2020, as modified and extended by this ORDER, SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT. Consequently, it remains ORDERED:” (at page 23) “Accordingly, the terms and conditions of the Second Modification and Extension of No Sail Order and Other Measures Related to Operations, signed on July 16, 2020, as modified and extended by this ORDER, SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT. “ It is an attempt to extend which is ineffective. However, I am sure that CDC has people monitoring this board for just such information so that they can correct their errors. I have only had two cruises canceled so far. (not even going to count the land vacations canceled) That is probably why I am writing this instead of going through a few thousand photos from our last two cruises and deleting the really really bad ones. If they don't let me sail this will be the first time in many years that we have not had at least one cruise during the year.
