I hear you! I actually cancelled a cruise because they turned it into an Elite cruise. And it was one I wanted to go on very much. But after accidentally booking a premium earlier this year...never again. I like to play, I like to move around, I like not having smoke blowing in my face.
I have friends cruising in just over a week and would like to surprise them with a pink flamingo of some sort in their cabin. But the online shop has nothing. Is it worth a call to see if I can arrainge something?
Anybody cruising on the 5th that would like to help me in my mission?
Six years later I can say that spa cabin on the Splendor was worth it. I cruised in it twice. 😆
It would have been more, but they moved the ship down under. I still dream about that T-pool.
I miss the spa on the Splendor. It's probably a good thing she moved away from the west coast. Otherwise I'd be taking a lot more cruises, just for that spa.
If you are into looking at buildings and markers you can walk the blue line into town. If you are into beaches head over to stone island.
If you are into small private tours, book one of the plumonias. I liked the beach break tour from mazatlantours.org. Starts with a bay cruise, then lunch, open bar, and beach time.
I'm sure there are people in Barcelona that still remember your funk, or at least the funk of that shirt.
Will @HelloItsMeB be following along to flip you crap?
If you don't have to spend the money with Carnival I've had excellent tours from tours by locals. Often I can customize a tour for four for less money than the Carnival tour.
If you don't feel comfortable going outside the cruise line, that's understandable as well.
This is disturbing on many levels. On one level that the room was left this way. On another level that so many people who cruise this line are making excuses and seem to be okay with this.
All of this is giving me some serious things to think about before I consider booking a NCL cruise. If I drop $$$ on a vacation I have expectations and I do my research before I go to ensure to the best of my ability that where I spend my money will meet those expectations.
