  1. From what I understand it’s about the same size only it’s fuel.
  2. Yeah,Botany cruise terminal, No red carpet and no customer service.
  3. Here’s a picture of them checking in at the OPT . Was your grandfather working there at the time?
  4. No Graham it was a ship in the first fleet, serious of the seas.
  5. It all fun ,the ships are on the way and you will be back in the groove in no time flat.
  6. There’s some pretty good prices for Brilliance repo in April. For two, interior $100 a night and balcony $200 a night.
  7. But they’re talking about Carnival ships Greyham ,isn’t Speculation of the seas a Royal Caribbean ship ?
  8. 3 on Brilliance October to Kangaroo island , January ,February. And one on Ovation at the end of March ,with an overnight in Noumea, that’s looking like a party cruise. You’re a party girl Cheryl! And you’re going to say ,come on Noumea ? You haven’t been to an overnight with Chili in Noumea!
  9. Someone here said Quantum was going to Asia,I think it was @Jumping Cruiser ? Not sure? My dementia might be kicking in there. But I think we will probably end up with 3 quantum in Oz as china is becoming a basket case
  10. Yeah you’re probably on to something there. Just a hillbilly backwater ,we don’t speak American so who cares.
  11. Didn’t someone say Anthem was replacing Quantum? No bookings in Honolulu yet.
  12. I don’t know if they could get Kembla up and running in a year ,it would relieve some congestion. Your Christmas cruise is still 3 months away, plenty of time to fill up.
  13. We have the coming season just around the corner with Ovation and Brillance in Sydney. The 2 ships are pretty heavily booked if not sold out. Something that doesn’t add up to me ,is we only have Ovation in Sydney for the 24-25 season and it’s booking up . There must be another ship for Sydney in the 24-25 season but what?
  14. I wasn’t really thinking China,They would probably send something newer there. I was thinking Singapore/Sydney surely we must be due for some hand downs by then.
  15. It looks like it’s full speed ahead for the cruise industry in China, let’s see if if there’s enough punters to fill ships. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/09/chinese-cruise-ports-get-full-green-light/
  16. Apparently there’s a station at coco beach and a shuttle to Port Canaveral on the way. https://www.wesh.com/article/brightline-train-miami-orlando/45227586#
  17. I don’t think they will drop the Diamond drinks. For the few bucks it costs them ,they have a dedicated customer. They would be buying it by the shipping container and tax free. I was watching a thing how Carnival hire the Budweiser factory for days to make a production run for their ships.I believe RCG do the same. They have pretty good buying power.
  18. Being a Diamond and with a junior suite is all you really need. A lot of people once Diamond or better don’t bother with the full suites ,unless they have money to burn. You have the Diamond lounge with a concierge, coffee machine and a your 4 drinks.
  19. I’m afraid I wasn’t really impressed with coastal Kitchen ,the food is pretty repetitive. It is the best venue on the ships and fabulous service but really not worth the extra money you pay in a suite.
  20. The Mercantile can get a bit noisy if you’re an early sleeper, if not you might be the one making all the noise. LOL
