  1. I am willing to put a deposit down in order to lock in my cruise next year. Same ship, same week and 50% more. Total bummer! I figure I will try to beat all those other people stuck traveling during school vacation and are waiting for their FCC. It would have really sucked if I missed out on the $18 booze package but I must have slept late that day.
  2. To me the FCC is a refund of my money plus a courtesy reimbursement for the disruption. I would not have thought that RC might try to keep it. Thank you both!
  3. Hi, Now that it is official, our trip next month is toast, we are looking at booking a trip for next April. My understanding is that we can book now (put a deposit down) and then wait the 30 or so days for the FCC to arrive and then have it applied. Is this correct? Are all deposits now non-refundable, we skipped our usual cruises last year and I lost track. We also had BOA/RC points applied to reduce the outstanding balance of the now canceled cruise. Once I get a new booking number can I call and request that they be transferred? RC is not going to reimburse for the $/points, correct? Thanks!
  4. Wow! Your cruise sounds like way more fun then we had when we were on the Sun Viking last week. I guess it might be because you are older and can do more fun stuff. There was no one on the ship our age (15 & 16) and nothing to do other than backgammon all day long. Grandma reserved herself a sun bed but didn't get us one so we had to find stuff to do. But, lucky us, when my sister and I got off the ship in Jamaica (grandma said we could go alone) the nice guys were selling yo-yos. They told us they could put "something special" inside but we said no. I don't know how they would have fit a cigarette in there and even though my sister likes to smoke we were afraid of getting caught. Hopefully our next cruise will be more fun. We are going on the Rotterdam.
  5. Post says midnight, those folks were already onboard?
  6. Norwegian is cancelling their cruises for the next 30 days and it includes the ones leaving on the 11th also. Sounds like there is a good chance yours is cancelled. Mine is leaving on the 18th. Wished mine was axed, especially since my dog sitter cancelled on me last night. Hard to find sitters for special needs dogs.
  7. How does the laser tag work? Is it like the bumper cars (on the Quantum) where you showed up and hoped you got in? Thanks!
  8. That's exactly what mine said but when I went back and looked at the order history the times appear there. Still can't get them to show on the calendar even if I ticked off show full calendar. You really need to have a lot of patience when dealing with that website!
  9. I just checked mine earlier today and although it said I had My Time, the times were not there. Figured it was another glitch on RC's IT department. Thanks Clarea for the suggestion. I just looked in the order history and can see the times. Sheal
  10. If I remember correctly, they ask you how long you want to stay. We wanted to go over to the Spice Club after snorkeling so we mentioned it to the captain before we got off and then again when we got back on. There might have been an extra charge $3-5. That was 3 years ago and the memory is failing. There are a couple of companies running back and forth.
  11. Hi Experts, Background: We did a med tour 4 years ago and are headed back next year for a land tour with some 1st timers and I want to be sure we don't make the same mistake this time around. I had booked our tickets for the Colosseum on the official website. They were the basic ones, not 3rd ring as the website had technical failure and I missed out. So, our RIL driver drops us off and pointed out the direction to the entrance. He tells us to figure an hour in order to keep our schedule that I had planned. We head down the steps where there is a massive line (no surprise) and then a "guide" tells us that even with our pre purchased tickets we will still have to stand in the mile long line to get in but for $20 per person we can join a group and get in without waiting. Since we only had an hour or so, we opted to cough up the $20 and join the "no waiting" (but in actuality it took another 10 minutes while they rounded up more idiots) line. As a side note, the guide did give narrative and the tour included time at the forum but we had to break loose in order to get out in an hour. To this day, I don't know why none of us walked over to the guards and asked, maybe we were all overwhelmed at the sight of the Colosseum. The funny thing is, we were in Barcelona days earlier and while trying to purchase tickets before leaving our apartment I had a problem (website hung up on the payment page). We walked over there ticket less (with a 4 hour wait to get in) and while debating what to do, my father in law suggested I talk to a guard who sent me to a booth. I gave my cc# or reference, not sure anymore and she was able to locate the reservation. She took my payment and we were in, no 4 hour wait. So why we didn't do that I just don't know. So, what is the correct procedure? Do you need to exchange this ticket/voucher and where you go with your online ticket/voucher? Would we have been able to get right in? We will have more time but I would hate to waste it. Also, me being lazy, how far in advance do the tickets go on sale? Is it six months? We were on a cruise back then and RC did not have their "zoom" wifi just yet so hence the reason I missed the 3rd ring. It was a painful experience to try to purchase the tickets while on the ship, I consider myself lucky I got anything. Thanks! Thanks!!
