It's not that far $20-$30 USD? Should be plenty of taxis just outside the immediate dock area. They've pushed them back a little so they don't assault everyone coming off the ship. They hang out about a block away over by the casino.

Taxis on Antigua are decent most are like a Nissan van.

Me and my TA had a back and forth for weeks over that because they could not find the price I was seeing and finally I figured out on my own that it was just a website coding problem

it's amazing that even after I've reported the mistakes to their tech support they choose to ignore it and let the errors continue

I've always wondered if I booked the lower price that I finally figured out was a mistake if they would have honored it I guess now I know they would not have honored it

but it's really distressing that even after a loyal customer like me has reported the website has mistakes on it they don't even bother to fix it

Most of downtown St John's is walkable. There's an old English cathedral, duty free shops, vendors mall and some restaurants around.

Did you check Airbnb? Looks like lots of nice places there and I think you can pay via cc if you want.

I think it's really the edges of the pool decks that make most of the noise. Chairs scraping etc. Windjammer is mostly carpeted so not so noisy.

Difference is bandwidth (speed) is capped on regular Voom.

I've found it is still fast enough for Skype, Hangouts dialer, etc to make VoIP phone calls.

I think streaming video is really where you need the faster one.

Get the cruisetour brochure off RCI website it has a little more detail.

On a cruise departing from USA you have to use the red tourist card just like USA citizens. Normally you would get a green one that I think costs slightly less, but since you departed from USA you are stuck using our red one.

They will sell it to you on the ship and add to your account. You will get it when you check in at the departure terminal.

No worries, it will be fine when you check in all you need is your passport.

Both are a couple miles from the cruise terminal. If you're in good shape, quite doable by walking.

I'm not sure about the public buses. They do exist but the lines are usually huge from what I saw. I don't think they are really an option.

Otherwise a cab. They aren't cheap but very cool to ride in those old cars. They are everywhere.

I think Majesty and Grandeur are RFID also, so any newly refit ship is probably converted too.

Bottom line if you see a mag stripe be careful, otherwise not an issue.

I don't think the seats are reserved to the tickets so I am almost positive if you have the same category of ticket and you enter together you will be seated together.

We had to stand. I found a wall to lean against.

It will be closed so estimate as close as you can and if you run a little short most people can be convinced to take US although they may want 10% more which makes sense cause that's what they will get charged to convert it.

We are UK based, not seasoned cruisers therefore not very well informed of all the do’s and dont’s
 
Our plan is to travel to Vancouver, hire a car and explore the Rockies, Canmore, Banff, Jasper etc for about 7 to 10 days, then back to Vancouver for the cruise. We will also spend a few nights in Vancouver on our return from the cruise.

Google Hangouts dialer works well for me. Doesn't care about what sim is installed you can have airplane mode on and use it.

Suggest you look in Ports of Call, Caribbean, Cuba. Lots of info there.

I suspect it is to allow first seating to get rolling in MDR before the start of MTD. But every one I've been on is this way. Usually it's still enough time to get to second show if that's your concern.
