  1. So good to know and many thanks for all the photos and thoughts. We are now even more excited about our first Oceania cruise in Jan/Feb, due in part to your decision to "jump ship" from Celebrity to Oceania. Based on our upcoming Vista cruise and after our Celebrity Apex Scandinavia/Norway b2b next spring we will likely make the switch to Oceania and may branch out to try other lines, as well.
  2. Do they have different toppings to choose from or make a couple of different pizzas on a daily basis? Thin or regular crust?
  3. Do you know if they are on every floor or select floors? My wife is more interested in the irons/ironing boards as we find on Celebrity with the laundry it comes back very wrinkled and the dry cleaning pants/shorts have no creases (pressed flat).
  4. Good to know about the pizza at Waves on Vista as we love true pizza oven pizza, so looking forward to that.
  5. Do you recall the name of the non-alcoholic wine on Oceania? we buy the premium beverage packages, but my wife like to have a glass of non-alcoholic Chardonay occasionally (she drinks Fre and home).
  6. Our last Celebrity cruise in July/Aug to NE/Canada we had the swirl butter and fortunately it was always room temp so no need to ask them for another. Also, good to know about no self-serve in the Terrace and for afternoon tea as we prefer to be served (IMHO, self-serve in Oceanview, or RC, Windjammer back in the day, was always a turn-off with the way that many people act, just not our idea of dining so we avoid).
  7. Very nice to-go amenity. Likely not for PH category, which is fine if that is the case as the upper suites should have all that is available to thank them for booking that category.
  8. Look forward to your thoughts on Azamara as we had one booked to Monaco for the F1 race a couple of years back but had to cancel (big disappointment) and have yet to re-book so will be interesting to see how that are nowadays.
  9. We have a PH2 in Jan/Feb 2025 on Vista and understand they do not have the tub/shower combo, which is one thing we do not like about non-E-Class Celebrity ships. Showers only for us and it becomes a fairly important component in deciding a cruise. Itinerary still being primary at this stage of our cruising life.
  10. As always. beside all of your photos, the food and menu ones are most welcomed for soon to be newbies. We are really looking forward to a change from Celebrity Luminae (which we don't necessarily mind as they have always taken care of us, but thinking we are somewhat in a "rut" food wise (if I can saw that being in a suite and with those amenities)!
  11. Thanks. This is good to know as we're in a PH2 (for the first times, so looking forward to it).
  12. Thanks, Jim. Good to know. We do like our pre-dinner cocktails and bites as we're getting ready for the evening. We're not room service people, other than a late-night pizza occasionally, as we like to be out and about but may have to have breakfast one morning to try it on Oceania.
  13. Switching subjects, and I may have missed this in you review so far, but how has your butler been since he welcomed and led you onboard? Any idea if there are different butlers based on suite class (we are booked in PH2 on Vista)? Just wondering as we have enjoyed butler service on X and have stayed in touch with our favorite one, Walter, who was with us on three different cruises.
  14. The wife and I are on the "pro-charger" side of the aisle. We like the old school elegance approach. But, to each their own for sure!
  15. Thanks Jim, Regatta looks elegant and very well maintained. Sounds like, so far, the service and food has been had a high level. Looking forward to more of your thoughts.
  16. Cunard is one I've always wanted to try as I think of glamour and high-level of service (the old movie fan in me from the Golden Age). Though, not sure that is truly the case nowadays.
  17. Your fall Oceania/Celebrity itinerary sounds like a great one. Definitely one to look forward to!
  18. I, too, am onboard for Jim and Ian always interesting and informative reviews/pictures. We will be Oceania virgins in Jan/Feb next year on Vista so particularly interested in their first cruise impressions here. Safe travels!
  19. Thanks for the info. We will look at USAA for our Jan/Feb Panama Canel crossing.
  20. We have USAA but have purchased trip insurance through others i.e. Generalli and Allianz, so to clarify USAA has plans that will advance or verify payment so you do not have to pay out-of-pocket? What plan would one look for/choose? Thanks.
