Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We were in 8285 a couple of weeks ago. There was creaking and banging the entire time the ship was in open water, calm or choppy. It was noticeable, but not loud enough to keep us up at night.
  2. I'll be on the Beyond next week. My app doesn't show kids hours. We'll see.
  3. I disagree with this whole topic, in tropical sailings. There is an adults-only area for a reason. No one wants to be splashed, or have to deal with kids running around the pool deck, yelling, etc. Do they allow kids in the solarium on Royal Caribbean cruises? Honestly, if they want to welcome kids on Celebrity cruises, they should beef up their camp at sea offering, by providing more activities for kids. When we sailed with our kids, I never even set foot in the solarium (on Royal) as I wanted to make sure my kids could easily find me without having to go to the adults area. Now that I'm an empty nester, I would prefer to not have to deal with everyone else's bundle of sunshine. I made sure my kids were well-behaved on our cruises and I knew where they were every second. I wish other parents would do the same.
  4. So sorry you are having such a rough time on your cruise 😜. We board in 2.5 weeks. I sure hope our experience is nothing (or everything) like yours!
  5. We will be boarding a week after you get off. I'm looking forward to your review as I'm in cruise-mode and love to look at pictures of the ship :).
  6. Keep posting stateroom numbers. We're going to be in 8285 when we go in March. I'm packing earplugs just in case. Someone should compile a list of room numbers with the creaking problems (and ones without) -- Not it!
  7. Having a shorter cruise with far less sea days and probably no consecutive sea days will definitely work in your favor.
  8. You should read the last 2 pages of the May 4 Hawaii to Vancouver roll call. The ship was full of covid, crew and passengers! Even if they get rid of covid during her period in dry-dock, if they don't change their protocols on board and continue to take a relaxed approach to the virus, it will return.
