Unfortunately the cruise-search for at least the Europe cruises covered by the promotion, doesn't work. As is common with HAL website. It doesn't let you filter by ship or port, and it shows the first page (of 9) all the while advancing the number (2 of 9, 3 of 9, etc) but just showing the first page over and over.
All the computer whizzes coming out of schools, wouldn't you think they could hire a few?!!
The website works fine. Check your web browser. When I looked at these cruises, not only did the pages advance from 1 to 9 with no problem, the filters also worked to reduce the search results.

The 25% discount for Rudi's is new, not reduction, at least for 4*'s, we never received a deduction for Rudi's before now.

It was fun to look back, and see how better I have gotten at getting OBC. 1st Cruise $140, upcoming Cruise $1,550. Thanks for pointing this out.

It only took us a few minutes to check in at 10:30 am for our last sailing out of San Diego. The cruise terminal was nearly vacant, and we flew through check-in.
Boarding started promptly at 11:30 am, and we were in the first group to board. 😀
So you breezed through check in, and then sat in terminal for one hour, brilliant.

I get a late check out at my hotel, than eat lunch somewhere nice in the port city, and than board the ship after the crowds are finished.

Why do you think you may smoke an e-cigarette in a stateroom, that is prohibited. From HAL's smoking policy."Electronic cigarettes are not permitted in staterooms or in other public areas of the ship other than designated smoking areas."

I am sailing this itinerary next year, Thank You for all this great information. pdf is preferred.

We are on the Oosterdam starting February 29, This will be useful...if nothing else, complementary hour at Thermal Pool on port days!

Nobody tracks the time, stay as long as you want.

Call the Westmark, I did for my tour last year, they confirmed my stay and had me call 2 weeks before arriving to coordinate both reservations so I did not have to change rooms.

I always stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle-Downtown, walking distance from many attractions and 3 years ago when I did an Alaska cruise Seattle to Seattle they had a free shuttle to the cruise port.

I buy them at the airport duty free stores

4 Star, 112 sea days, this has been my experience. I am 66 and my wife is 59, except for the crew, 80+ % of the cruisers are older than us, and the rest are about our age. I often walk around the ships after 11PM, taking photos of the ship, best time for that as I rarely see another human. HAL became our favorite line because it is so quite on board, very few children, the loud drunk is rare.

Holland America has no policy on luggage size.

I received this email in response to my question about the EXC program.
Dear Mr. Drennen,
We have have looked into your inquiry and found no truth to the rumor that HAL is terminating all Travel Guides and EXC Guides and ending those programs.

12 cruises and counting, never had a problem with the website. It saves all my info except the credit card, which is fine with me, one less place for a hacker to steal my info.

Disregard, I reread the post and mistakenly thought they were talking about cabins on Eurodam. My Bad
-
There are no Lanai cabins on Eurodam, so I find this whole story questionable.
-
Thank you BarbarianPaul, your e-mail from HAL confirms what I said from the beginning, FAKE NEWS

This service is still advertised as an activity on HAL ships, no one has been on a cruise where this service was not available,, FAKE NEWS. You either misunderstood the employee, who by the way was losing his job, and maybe was not very happy with HAL and he gave you bad intelligence on purpose, but your information is false.
-
Just returned from a Alaska Cruise on Noordam, the EXC Guide and lecturers were the best, Nobody had heard of any plans to eliminate this service, FAKE News.

Just to clarify, the Product is listed under Nail Services, "Fire and Ice Pedicure $70" you get a pedicure and included is a foot massage, the massage includes a regular massage and a hot stone massage.
-
Every HAL cruise, about a dozen, I have taken the Spa had foot massages available. They last 1/2 hour.
-
Check your cabin amenities, I cannot speak for all cruise lines, but HAL includes binoculars in many cabin categories.
How would you handle very loud conversations in the thermal spa?

add info
I go to the Thermal Spa everyday I am on ship, and yes there is a sign, usually a plaque on the top of the fountain in the Thermal Lounge detailing the policy about making noise. Also, I am not shy, speak to them politely and if that does not work I go get staff or Security, just because they are jackasses, I don't let them mess with my vacation.
Finding a Quiet Place on the Eurodam
The Holland Eurodam can be a very lively ship with many activities. -But, if you are looking for quiet place to just relax onboard the Eurodam, you have some great choices. The Art Gallery, the Explorations Cafe, and the Thermal Suite are all places where you can find peace and quiet!
