I have been obsessing over the menus since we booked our cruise. Picking out all the things I want to try is part of the fun of planning for me! But, how easy is it to make small substitutions to items? For example, at Extra Virgin, I've been eyeing the eggplant parmesan, but wouldn't want the vegan cheese. Could I ask for it to be replaced with the regular mozzarella that is served on the meatballs? Thank you for your insight!

Can someone explain all the towels on the loungers by the pool in all of these pictures? Are all of those seats taken or has VV placed a towel on each one?

Hope you are enjoying your cruise! Can you let us know how you did with getting reservations at various restaurants once on board? We booked a cruise on Valiant Lady about a month out and there are no reservations available on the app for us either. Thanks!

I read these boards almost everyday, but am mostly just a lurker and rarely comment and even more rarely post my own thread. However, we are leaving in one week on our annual Spring Break cruise! (Yes, yes, I know, Spring Break - but, both my husband and I are in education and we have two teenagers and summers are busy with preseason football and cheer, so Spring Break it is.) We will be on the Mardi Gras for the first time and I could not be more excited! Looking forward to a week of reading books in the sun with a drink by my side. What should I be looking forward to at night? Tell me about the entertainment that is unique to Mardi Gras.

We always choose Your Time Dining since we don't want to be seated with other people. Also, since we usually wind up eating dinner around the same time each night (usually between 6:15 and 6:30) we typically get seated at the same table and with the same servers each night anyway. We have never experienced crazy wait times and dinner is usually over within an hour.

Did you happen to notice if there is a place to rent jet skis by the port in Nassau? We will be on the Mardi Gras in March and don't have an excursion planned but my teens really want to rent jet skis. (They know they might have to be passengers and not drivers and are OK with that.) It's not an option through Carnival, and I'm a little uncertain about doing it ourselves...

Random question for you... Do you happen to remember if the connecting doors in your cabin were able to be locked? We have connecting rooms with our kids, also, and the only other time we've done this (Harmony of the Seas) the steward had to unlock the door at the beginning of the week, but then we were never able to lock it ourselves, so not a lot of privacy.

Hello! My teens would really like to rent jet skis while in port. They both have their driver licenses, but I realize that the rules may still require them to be a passenger. They are good either way. The ship doesn't have this as an excursion. Can anyone recommend a good company to rent from that isn't too far away from the port? Thank you!

Can I ask how you found the cooking class? We are on the Vista in April and I'm not sure where to see that information. Thanks!
They are listed under Specialty Dining on the Carnival site.

Book while you can, they go fast
I can see that! The sushi, BBQ and ice cream classes are all sold out for our sailing already. Thankfully those are not classes we would be interested in attending. We want to book soon, but would like some more details on exactly what we are booking. The descriptions on the Carnival sight are not very informative.

We will be on Celebration in April, and my teen daughter and I were looking at the various cooking classes offered - specifically the Tailgating, Pie and Cupcake classes. Can anyone provide some details about these classes to help us make a decision on which one to attend? What exactly do you make or do at each class? How long do they run? Do you eat the food once its prepared or just make it? Thank you!

Do the shows - Strings and the Circus - have a story? Or are they simply individual acts - singers, dances, aerialists - performing one right after the other?

Thank you for such a great review! In between taking all those pictures and answering so many questions for all of us, I hope you took so time to relax and enjoy!

Not good when they’re selling this as their sports bar.I was thinking the same thing. We will be on the ship during March Madness. My husband and son were hoping to watch the games in there. Do you have an alternative location that you can recommend?

6:30 on the East Coast and I still haven't gotten an email after having been verified two weeks ago.... Has anybody gotten anything yet?
-
We'll be there, also! We are a family of four and the two adults have 11:00 and the two teens have 11:30. Will we all be able to get on at 11 or will they make us wait?

My family and I board Harmony next Sunday. I will be following this thread all week! Thanks for sharing your cruise with us!

We will be on Harmony on April 5 - a family of four for Spring Break. We are driving down to Orlando, so no airplane worries. We actually just booked about two weeks ago because the prices had dropped so low. We have no plans of cancelling, but it is nice to know that we have that option if things start to spiral even further out of control.

I'm sailing Harmony in a few weeks and the description says it includes a "Chef selected lunch menu featuring Sabor's most popular dishes." What were you served at Giovanni's? Does anyone know what the lunch menu includes at Sabor?

Can you only buy buckets from certain bars? Do they open all the beers when you buy it or could we buy a bucket, drink one or two, and store the rest in the fridge in our cabin for another time?

YAY!!! I completed the online check in and added the SetSail passes to my mobile wallet and the two rooms are only not only both on Deck 11, they are two doors away from each other! I am so glad I took a chance on the Guarantee Rooms and saved $2000 in the process!

The barcode is only in the Setsail pass, not in e-docs.
What is the difference? Where would I find the Setsail pass. I don't see a barcode on my e-docs.

We just got back from our first VV cruise about two weeks ago. We booked a Lock It In Sea Terrace about five weeks before sailing and wound up in a Central Sea Terrace on deck 8. It was perfect. We didn't mind taking the stairs up to the pool or the Galley for breakfast in the morning when we had the most energy and loved being able to stumble up just a floor or two at the end of the night from the restaurants and entertainment.
