All the ships I have been on are absolutely beautiful: Seaside, Seascape, Seashore, Meraviglia and not too far behind Divina. I am sure my upcoming World Europa and Euriba will not disappoint either!

I was on the 5/14/23 Transatlantic from NYC and we did not stop at Isafjordur. We were told it was "port congestion" which was a flat out lie. I do not believe any of the Prima sailings have made it there due to the real reason of the dredging/port construction not being completed.

Anyone else thinking of trading Haven for MSC Yacht club?
deweytrader replied to wolft927's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We do both next 5 are with the Yacht Club as Haven has priced us out. Haven would be at least 2x as much as what we paid for Yacht Club at the time. However, Yacht Club pricing has also increased dramatically lately, still much more affordable than the Haven. -
I would wait until you complete your Seaside cruise to make a decision. The Seaview and Seaside are pretty much the same ship, then you will know if you would like to sail that class again or even if you would like to sail MSC again. Maybe you will want a different class and try the World Europa instead. Or maybe MSC will not be a good fit and you will stick with Celebrity...If you have never been on a European Mediterranean cruise, I would say all the itineraries look great!

Joy vs Escape vs Getaway...your thoughts?
deweytrader replied to zaylyn2590's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
All 3 are great, would give 1st place to the Joy for the observation lounge. -
Joy veterans, help me stop obsessing! Cabin 10342
deweytrader replied to Dorhead1230's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
10920 was the angled one, so if you want to stay portside than 10320 is the one to book. -

The Joy deck plans you see online are definitely off - I booked 10922 thinking it was angled but it was not! -
Historically speaking no additional service charges if prepaid before upgrade.

MSC Seascape reviews on Cruisecritic are harsh...
deweytrader replied to 20165's topic in MSC Cruises
Had a great time on my April Seascape cruise, love the Seaside ship class! -
That way be the only room left it that category.

So sad, had him as a cruise director many times. A very nice man, thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Yacht Club versus more prestigious cruise line
deweytrader replied to Markanddonna's topic in MSC Cruises
I have been on 5 MSC sailings - Yacht Club, Aurea Suites and regular balcony. Enjoyed them all! Have 6 more MSC cruises booked as NCL prices are crazy high! -
Pricing is now reflecting on the top left of screen. Click on the arrow by the wording Your Cruise.

Tread with caution ANY time you contact MSC customer service there is a very good chance your reservation can be completely screwed up! Ask yourself if it is truly worth it to call them. My example: I have an Aurea whirlpool suite booked on the 4/9/23 Seascape cruise and when I booked only the ninth and tenth floors where available. I booked the 10th floor, since then all the other floors have opened up - would I like to move to higher floor? Yes, but decided the risk was not worth the return.

Prima for the brand-new ship!

Love the Haven, but trying MSC Yacht Club
deweytrader replied to wolft927's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I have done both. Last 4/6 NCL cruises in the Haven and future 5/6 MSC cruises in the Yacht Club. I, too, have been priced out of Haven on NCL for my family of 4. We have very specific dates we can travel (kids in school) and Haven for the 4 of us 10-15k each trip. YC for the 4 of us around +/- 5k each trip. No brainer, Yacht Club here we come! P.S. - I personally like the MSC shows and like the fact they are 45 mins. -
Trying to plan a family cruise and looking for information / advice
deweytrader replied to Danny61231's topic in MSC Cruises
My kids now 10 & 11 love the MSC Seaside class of ship. If this is their first cruise, they will be blown away by any of the 3 ships you listed. The kid's waterpark is awesome and so are the slides. They have the quintessential "kids" options at the buffet as well. I have cruised on many different lines and did not think MSC's food was any better/worse than other lines. Based on your information the MSC Seascape may be the way to go... (the easy plus drink package covers most drinks too)
