  1. At Bananarama, there most by at least 4 divers to book with them. It not they will put you on a waiting list. Great company though.
  2. Husband really likes Scuba with Alison. She is great and will accommodate snorkelers also. Very fast boat.
  3. The Windjammer is open. I don't think the MDR is open on embarkation day, but various restaurants are for a decreased fee (i.e. Chops). Depending on the ship, there is food "stands" at various locations (pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, etc). Last time I was in the diamond lounge around noon, there were snacks and coffee.
  4. I found our "go to" place to stay on Airbnb. It is called the Schafer Haus and is a 5 minute walk to the Strand; 3 blocks from a great restaurant especially for breakfast (best breakfast quiche I have ever had). It is more like a BnB. It is an old boarding house that they refurbished. There are about 7 rooms. They have a kitchen and do not provide meals but you can cook your meals. It is very reasonable priced for Galveston. Look at their website for much info. They serve free mimosas on the weekend!
  5. Previously we had to sign up once on board at Sabors. It included us watching them make drinks and the guacamole, But got a drink and a meal afterwards. It was good and thinking about doing it again. Meal included a margarita, guacamole, salsa, and a sample of their menu.
  6. Since Celebrity is a sister ship to Royal, can one book Celebrity at Next Cruise? If so do you get the lower discount and all? Thanks
  7. Same here. Never have had the items in the cabin. I have to show my paperwork to the steward each time. Worse was the Allure. I need a medical refrigerator for medication. Never got it. Allure's solution was for me to give it to the steward and they would store it "somewhere (could not state where it would be stored)" until I needed it. Zip lock bags, that we brought, and ice was how it was stored for the week. Not happy. Other time, finally got medical refrig, and it was size of the refrig in the cabin. They brought a 20' frayed extension cord to plug it in. We did not except this (fire and trip hazard). They brought in another one that was not frayed and taped the cord to the floor, but there went a plug!
  8. How do we find out who the ship's doctor is? We are trying to remember his name from the Liberty in 2017. He was so helpful and I contribute him in saving my husband's life. We will be on the Liberty in May 2020 and wanted to stop by and tell him thank you.
  9. No, even if arrive at 0630, one may not be off the ship until after 0730 secondary to the number of self assist. Also then you have approx. an hour drive to the airport. All of this if all conditions are great and no hiccups. Would not book anything before noon.
  10. Second Willy G's especially since it is a t the port. I know you did not ask about breakfast but the Sunflower Café is wonderful and only about a 10 minute walk from the pier.
  11. Will they give you a double shot with the drink package? Last ship, Liberty, they would only allow a single shot and then had to wait "10 minutes" to get another. Said that it would be about the amount of time to reach another bar. Told them that was ridiculous.
  12. Will be on the Navigator in Nov for the third time. Love this class of ships. Just large/small enough. There is so much to do or not to do, depending on you. Besides what has been mention, go to the Quest, be early. It is a funny show. Say no to the "packages" they try to sell as soon as you get on if you are not interested. Read and mark on the compass. It will help you plan events and tell you if you need ice show tickets and where to pick them up at.(1x had to have tickets second time I didn't). If they offer the pasta class, take it. It was so much fun. Remember most reviews are to complain. Go with an open mind and enjoy.
