I used the gym once on disembarkation day. We were on a B2B though. I was in there while all the guests were still getting off the ship. Only one person came in and said something to me. I told him I was on the next sailing. He didn't check, just walked away.

We bring about $200 in singles and we tip $1 -$2 for every drink no matter where we get it. Then tip our favorites more at the end. We may be different from other people due to the fact that my wife has been a bartender for over 40 years and we know tips are very important.

We are the same as you. I think the bank tellers think we are going to the strip club when we go ask for all those singles. I know that the tips are included in the package, but I think that they deserve more (IMO).
But on a side note, if we consistently get bad service from a particular bar tender, we might not tip him in cash, or might give less.

I've heard great things about the dentist in Cozumel (Carnival pier). Most of the staff that wear braces get them done there. I also know a lot of US passengers that schedule their normal appointments when they go on a cruise. They are much cheaper than our US prices and they do good work.

August sale has ended and now they have the "new" September deal with the same 30% off, but up to $100 credit.
What a joke, we booked a cruise yesterday for two total 749.00. Todays sale the price jumped 25.00 but they are giving 25.00 obc. No new sale, just moving money around.

I think it's worth it for the deserts alone. I love the hot apple pie, and also the hot fudge sundae. Their burgers, dogs, grill cheese, and chicken sandwiches are a nice break from the normal food.

The staff are smart and know what is going on. Within a very short time, if you go to the same person, they will remember you have the drink package. If you bring your wife, who has a package a drink, they don't have an issue. You can gather 20 cards with the package and get all the drinks yourself and bring them back.

When the Brilliance was in Tampa this past season, during the late afternoon they would push around a cart with premade sushi containers. For those of you who have grocery stored that sell pre-packaged sushi, it is just like that. I thought that was Brilliant because them came around both decks of the pool area selling it.

As others have stated, don't get sucked into the advertisement saying that you are saving 40-70% off. We bought an Invicta on land and the exact same watch was double on the ship.

I am also an advocate for 1100 is it's available. We've had it before and got lucky enough to book it for one of our December 2016 cruises.

Brilliance does offer breakfast in Chops. It really isn't the best, but it is relaxing to not have to deal with lines. There is also a Gold card (not gold C&A level) area up in the Windjammer that you can gather your breakfast and eat up there.
When I was on the Brilliance last, they did have an additional designated area in the Solarium. It was along the wall between the bar area and Park Café. Not really a good location.

You're joking, right?
Nope. But if you are going to quote on my comment don't remove half of what I post.
Based on other threads I would say I'm not the only one with this peeve.

Dogs in strollers! Of course, unless the dog performs a real service.

We had it as a perk last year for the Royal Family Suite. Included one free and one half off. Never seen it offered for a cabin lower than a suite.

Just off the Brilliance today. Yup, they got rid of the discounts on this sailing. The number crunchers should look again. After it was confirmed on day 2 of the sailing that there was no discount, several people went to Guest Svcs and had them remove the sticker and credit them back.
So instead of some revenue, they got none from those people. Instead, they utilized the free drinks in the lounge.

Brilliance had it on our last sailing. It was not advertised in any way, but I can confirm it was discounted because we made the person show us his bill. :) We bought ours online, and got no discount. On our next sailing we will buy it on the ship.

Yes, BOS does have corn hole. They are near the area where you enter the pool deck from the elevators that separate the pool and solarium. When we were on a few weeks ago, several bags were missing.

You can't control mother nature and the safety of the ship and passengers comes first. Missing ports certain times of year is actually very common. If you review your statement, you will see you were more than likely refunded port charges.

On some of the ships it is gold (colored) card and Diamond Plus.
Best breakfast is the Vision (Giovanni's). They have a different menu than other ships. Also offer a steak daily.
Some ships the breakfast in Chops is terrible. The only plus side is that you have a nice place to sit and someone waiting on you in a small venue.
If it was to become a pay for breakfast, I would hope they would improve on the menu and quality. Lego makes better waffles:rolleyes:

Great interview......got a chuckle out of it.:D

Not likely will happen this time with Senator Bill Nelson already requesting a formal investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board, not to mention the massive media condemnation.
Correct, as you can read the first line of my post that with all the media attention, they will probably hold the ship in port.
But my point was, without media attention, things are different.

Possibly the Coast Guard will hold off their sailing because this has such large media hype.
But we were on the Enchantment about 10 years ago when we had an engine room explosion. Those things didn't make news back then. We were dead in the water with no electricity throughout most of the ship.
I guess the EN has 4 major units that powers the 2 props. Please excuse my lack of mechanical talk. When the explosion occurred, it took out 3 of the units/system leaving us with only a quarter power. Only enough to have some electric and water.
Tugs came and pulled us back to Ft. Lauderdale. We happened to be booked on a back to back so they let us stay on. Although they didn't let new passengers on for their next sailing on time, we were allowed to stay on the ship while repairs were made.
Ultimately, the ship sailed out on the day it should have sailed, but went out very late. The ship was allowed to sail with only 3 or the 4 major perpulsion systems working. We could not sail fast enough to make both ports of call, so we only had one stop. Electric and AC was skectchy thoughout the ship, with some areas working and some not.
The moral of the story is that the US Coast Guard let us sail with major issues still happening on the ship.

We do!!!!!
But most people don't.

In all my sailings, I've never had nice cold milk. As a matter of fact, on several occassions I've grabbed a milk that the date still doesn't show expired only to open it and have it be rotten.
Why can't they come up with a better way to put milk out that it doesn't get warm and stale?
We usually grab some ice and pour the milk on ice, then strain it in a cup so it is nice and cold.

Yes, they still have it. Every line dance song you can possibly dance to is played.
