  1. Thanks! That is exactly what i was looking for. To see how busy the pool deck would be. We are thinking early January so I imagine it would be a bit busier.
  2. Agree. That is one of the reasons we would be looking to book...is to avoid the crowds on the rest of the ship. I don't mind waiting for a table if the Haven restaurant is busy. I am more curious about the Haven pool area. Is it crowded and difficult to find seats.
  3. We have done regular balconies on the Sky and Gem and did an aft penthouse suite on the Dawn. Loved our large balcony. We will miss that on the Getaway but hoping the Haven deck areas will make up for it.
  4. Are Haven areas crowded? We usually travel on smaller ships and are a bit nervous we will like the feel of the larger ships. Is the Haven worth it to have the quieter area? Does it get crowded and hard to find space within the haven areas as well? Looking for the pros and cons to the bigger ship and if we should splurge on Haven.

  6. Thank you! I wasn’t sure there was a way to do that

  8. Thank you all! I will need to rethink my packing.
  9. We leave Friday on a cruise out of Boston to San Juan. It departs at 4 pm. I am curious given average November temperatures what to expect for the first couple of sea days. I have no idea how much ground is covered in that first overnight.
  10. I am really struggling to decide what type of room category to book for my 9 day Eastern Caribbean from Boston. The cabins I am trying to choose from are 10502,10000 or 9002 Forward or 10228 Aft. Does anyone have any opinions? I really like using my balcony which is the main reason to upgrade to the suite...to have the larger balcony. But I want to make sure it is usable and not crazy windy.
  11. Did you find it really windy when you were travelling at full speed?
  12. How did you find the wind on the sea days? We are looking at booking the same cabin and I saw your thread. I am concerned about the same thing! Any insight you can give about your experience would be appreciated.
  13. Thanks! I see in the pic it is also pretty open to the balcony beside. Is this because the room is adjoining? Would the middle cabins that are not adjoining be better? It looks like rooms 10000,10002,9500,9000 and 9002 are also available. I am trying to make sure I am making the best choice. This will be our first time picking a suite and am really hoping for a great experience! Any insight that can be given would be helpful. I am used to being in a mid ship balcony where they are pretty private (and small!) looking down over water.
  14. Thank you for the info Marine Mom. We are booked in this cabin (10502) on the Dawn. What is that open space right below you in the pic? Is this a public area? Would that not make your balcony less private than other alternatives? I was expecting to be able to look down and see water from our balcony. What did you think of the overall layout and presentation.
