Which Royal ship has the most open deck space?

Try Celebrity. The decks are pretty open. I’ve always been able to get a chair on the deck above the pool. -

I like it. No need to make reservations for shows. No mobs getting on and off of the ship. If you are traveling with kids, they would probably like the activities that a larger ship offers. -

I love not having to take off shoes, etc. but in California, they made me take my small electronics out of my backpack. Didn’t have this happen in other states.

If you pack light and your bag fits through an airport X-ray, I would carry on. You can drop the bag as soon as you get onboard.
