Thanks for reading along.
I noticed you have been with CC for almost 6 years and this is your first post in the forum – you must be a very quiet reader in the background. I’m honored to have you come out and pose a question here.
I don’t think I took a picture of the door from the other side – shocking, huh? Y’all must think I take pictures of everything…🤪
But it’s the same door from the other side except you open it from the side of 270 where you have to PUSH from the handle on the other side (see red arrow). Both doors swing away from 270 and into the hallway of deck 6. They are VERY heavy so be careful If you have food or drink in your hand, you could be spilling it as you put your whole body into opening the door.
The door is located next to the library on deck 6 (white arrow)
I’ve absolutely loved every second!! And yes I’ve been a lurker here for a long time. 😅
This really helps, thank you! We’ve booked a GTY balcony cabin and I’m pretty much assuming we will be assigned deck 6 due to the sheer number of obstructed view balconies in that deck. Trying to familiarize myself the best I can. I also found your marked up deck plan helpful with the ‘blocked stairs’ issue. THANKS!!

Thanks for this awesome post! We are sailing on Odyssey in 2025 and you’ve helped so much with deck 6.
Do you happen to have a photo of the doors from the inside of two70 where you exit near the library to get back to the staterooms on deck 6?

So we have cabin 13658 booked on Odyssey of the seas. It is the only balcony on deck 13 that is considered ‘obstructed view’. The location is amazing and the view is so much better than the deck 6 lifeboats! We saved a huge chunk vs picking a non-obstructed balcony cabin.
I found a cruiser in a FB group who stayed in this exact cabin and she loved it. What she didn’t quite know was what the ‘obstruction’ is. See photos. Is this something they use to wash the windows/railings? Is it ever lowered? This room location on other quantum class ships isn’t considered ‘obstructed’. Thanks!!
