Copper River was my last lodge before heading to the Royal via Prince Edward Sound. I know I could find an excursion out of Seward that is similar but Princess closed the excursion booking prior to the cancellation. This has been the booking from Hell over two years in the making.

Absolutely not. A Prince William Sound tour out of Anchorage is $287.95.. Add that to the shortened Denali tour and cancellation of disembarkation testing, we seem to be paying back COVID losses.

In all honesty, we agree. I was originally attracted to an excursion to McCarthy but DW said absolutely no to a 14 hour excursion. I was also interested in the catarmaran voyage from Valdez to Whittier but we can schedule something similar out of Seward. It just seems, with all these changes and hoops to jump through, I should be complaining.

We were scheduled to arrive at the Copper River Princess for a two day stay on 6/16. We received an itinerary change this morning, saying it will close for the summer and our stay has been transferred to the Kenai Princess Lodge. Oh well.

We have a cruise tour that departs from Anchorage on 6/13/22. We were scheduled to arrive in Anchorage on 6/12/22 but added an extra day through Princess. My itinerary states my cruise tour begins on 6/11/22. Therefore, I say my PCR test window should be based on my 6/11/22 arrival date/Captain Cook check-in. If I am wrong and cannot get a test to fit these last minute rules, I plan to forego the cruise tour and cruise and spend my 2-weeks in Alaska on my own. At least that way I will not need a test to get back into the US. I understand Princess's predicament and do support testing for safety reasons, but it sure seems like nothing is being done to make our vacation a less stressful event. I can stay at home and be stressed at work without spending $12,000. Vent is now complete.

We are sailing southbound from Whittier on the Royal on 6/18/22. We have added an additional cruise tour day to our pre-cruise land tour in Anchorage on 6/11/22. The additional day is included in my Princess cruise tour package which departs from Anchorage on 6/13/22. Does the PCR/Antigen time clock begin running on 6/11 or 6/13?
