  1. Sailing in two days on MS Oosterdam / Neptune Suite. Thank you for the information....much appreciated!
  2. We bought the upgraded travel/medical insurance through HAL this past November. I was injured on an excursion and was taken to the Ships Doctor. $500 out of pocket right away. Then x-rays, treatment, and meds. All in all, over $1k out of pocket. I was told I could file a claim for reimbursement. When we got home, I did file. Several forms and fax back to them. After a couple of days, I was informed by the company that since I had MEDICARE and TRICARE FOR LIFE I would have to file first with MEDICARE and when they denied the claim I would have to file with TRICARE FOR LIFE. After both of them denied the claim, then I could send documentation to the Company and they would then evaluate and reimburse me. This was DECEMBER 2018. I am still waiting for MEDICARE to deny. The COMPANY sent me an email stating they closed the case but I could reopen when I get all the "Required" documentation. I am almost sorry I purchased the insurance!

  4. We were booked on this excursion for next week. I have cancelled. Our hearts go out to the families of those who were injured and killed.
  5. OMGoodness! We are sailing on the O in two weeks. I had originally booked 4185 aft W/A but changed to a higher stateroom. I know they will get her "fixed", but I'm glad I changed.
  6. Thanks, I thought it might be nice to continue with a glass of wine during and after dinner. Especially if we can take one of our wine package wines from the MDR back to the room.
  7. May I also ask...does the Wine package remain within the dining room, or can you have some taken to your room as well?
  8. We have bought beverage cards on previous cruises. The only advantage (so to speak) we have found is once our preset limit (usually $100 per card) is met, we know we met our budget. Any unused portion on the card will be refunded to your account at the end of the cruise. It's just a matter of personal preference I don't like handing someone my room card to charge drinks.
  9. If you have a wine package, can you have more than one bottle at a time poured in the MDR? Perhaps we each have a taste for a different wine at dinner. Just curious.
  10. We sailed five times on Statendam. I surely miss her.
  11. Does the ship's time change while cruising in Alaska?
