  1. I was on Vision OTS this past August and they do have "Hot Rock" in IZUMI. Basically two choices -- Seafood or Beef (photo attached below)... Enjoy.

    Hong Kong Hotels

Staying at Salisbury YMCA is a great idea as it's close to Ocean Terminal where I believe you'll be docked. If you plan to head off to Macau on the same day of arrival, you can drop off some of your luggage first. Macau ferry terminal is also in the same area but might be a bit difficult to walk with luggage. You can easily get from the Hotel (assume YMCA) to Stanley by taking the Star Ferry (nice view of Victoria Harbour) then a short walk to the Bus Terminal at Exchange Square. You will be able to find Bus number 6 (or 6A, 6X) and get off at Stanley Market. As for other sights to see... Not sure if you've been to the Big Budda @ Lantau Island yet -- it's a great full-day trip.
  3. Hong Kong Disneyland is situated in Lantau Island (near the Hong Kong International Airport). You can easily get to the park via metro/subway (which is called the MTR in Hong Kong). If you're also taking the hop-on/hop-off bus, (I believe it's the RED BUS) there will definitely be a stop nearby an MTR station. If you have a listing of your hop-on/hop-off bus, I can give you detailed instructions on how the stops / transfer between MTR lines and time needed so you can plan. BTW, I live in Hong Kong in Lantau Island (Tung Chung to be specific) and will be glad to help. Just let me know... Enjoy your upcoming trip...

    Hong Kong Hotels

Your hotel choices will depends on a number of factors -- mainly depends on your budget, and the sights that you want to see. If you give me an idea of what you and your group is interested in seeing or doing in Hong Kong, I can give you some idea of what area you can look into for your Hotel stay. BTW, I live in Hong Kong -- feel free to ask me question and I will try my best to answer them. You can also PM me if you wish,,, Enjoy.
  5. Greetings from Hong Kong... I am really excited as I will be starting my first Alaska Cruise on board Explorer of the SEAS this Friday. Did a lot of research on the ports and do realize how difficult this can be (comparing to my past cruises 10+ years ago). Hence, I'm offering to answer any questions regarding Hong Kong if any of you are planning to visit as a cruise port. I live in Hong Kong -- on Lantau Island actually and will be able to answer and hopefully clear up any confusion that our fellow CC friend might have. Just for the record, I am not a TA nor tour operator -- just trying to help out. Will try to check in from time to time to see if anyone have any questions. Cheers and happy cruising...
  6. Wonder if we were on the same cruise as we also Honeymooned 1996 (September) on Majesty of the SEAS...
  7. Majesty of the SEAS for my honeymoon back in 1996. My first cruise and is the best yet. Heading off to Alaska in 10 days and will be on-board the Explorer of the SEAS...
