  1. check your itinerary on cruise personalizer. it was a surprise change for me just now on our November cruise. Now Santa Barbara tendering.
  2. one quick remedy is to go to service desk or report better yet thru medallion as there is a record and insist you get moved to another cabin immediately, and if there is ANY change in location or grade level, you will receive compensation for your inconvenience. I have direct experience last year where that situation aggravated and worsened my bacterial pneumonia i acquired on the Diamond Princess. You will receive future cruise credits. I received $300 per person for the inconvenience as that is what they offered, but, I later learned you can ask for more whatever your offer is if you feel it is unfair. There is no price where health could be compromised. Good Luck!!!
  3. Just checked for updates here today. Yes, it was over living room area not the bed. They moved us after 10 days and numerous attempts at repairing it without success. My final diagnosis was bacterial pneumonia, and I still can hardly breathe, and waiting another 3 weeks from today for pulmonary dr appt. after several trips to er. they gave me a nebulizer, and it helps very little. I have no strength. Regarding the princess medical details, I hadn't heard in over ten days, then I started bombarding their email with URGENT in subject line from all my email accounts I have, and within 24 hours, they sent it to me finally. Thanks for replying and good wishes.
  4. off the coast of Guatemala, took some time to get lab results. Let me say, the medical staff was outstanding. Very caring and experienced personnel. Limited xray, took three days to get diagnosis, with my ongoing chronic heart condition. would not want to go to land based hospital in this voyage. was stuck in russia four years ago, another story. I was only patient admitted to facility. They did go and get me full lobster dinner to my bed on formal night. Ordered each meal from main dining room menu to medical bed. Loads of ship crew coming in and out for various procedures, supplies, etc. Yes, princess covers the medical expenses, I hope, AON insurance to say. They notified me today I have to file Medicare first, while admitting Medicare will not pay, but, need refusal letter, then my Medicare supplement will cover some, then aon will pick up the rest. Just need Princess to send me final medical expense detail as i did not receive on my folio prior to leaving, but, was charged on credit card. I had some late continuing charges come in after leaving medical facility to cabin, 995 dollars, so, I suspect if one goes to medical early, the final medical bill will be up to date hopefully, by end of cruise. btw, i did not receive any folio of charges under the door at end like in past. can get printout at any time if you visit guest services, but, will never be complete. after returning home, princess sent email several days later with link to get folio statement.

Caught pneumonia onboard Diamond Princess 20 day Central America Dec 10 complicated with cold air stuck on full and not able to turn off or down in seating area and not over bed area, which was working fine, in Club Class Mini Suite. Toilet also backed up for three straight days, and room steward each time was sprawled out in hallway trying to service, as plumbers were too busy elsewhere.After numerous complaints to Guest Services, maintenance coming days later multiple times for over a week before Dec 10th and they giving up, relocated me to non club class aft mini where a/c controls worked. Went to medical on Dec 10th admitted to ICU for three days and confined to cabin with oxygen concentrator for remainder of cruise. Other than onboard medical bills over $13,000 and not complete medical charges printout post folio. Still waiting for complete medical charges. Guest Services offered $300.00 FCC compensation for our troubles per person before any medical conditions known. Besides paying almost $1000 per person for club class, was not in club class cabin the last ten days, and club class dining disappeared from medallion app and did not matter at this point. btw, the senior medical doctor said.... call room service and we could order from main dining room menu. NOT. they did not understand that at all, and dr ordered wheelchair assistance at embarkation off ship. NOT, even confirmed with guest services three days before disembarkation wheel chair would pick me up in cabin with wheelchair ...did not have or need wheelchair when boarded, at 9:15 and assist us off ship and housekeeping was notified for late departure in cabin. NOT. called guest services at 9:20 and they didn't know what I was talking about. said to go to casino and wait for our number to be called. Wait, we are platinum and club class. I could not even get up and take one step towards the casino. My original question has to do with are guests compensated more for missed cruise days while confined to cabin due to medical reasons. Not compensation from Princess, but, missed cruise days from insurance as they do for Covid patients. thanks.
  7. i am down the hall from you, if you hold your left hand up sideways at the end of the remote and point it towards the tv you want to control the infrared signal will not go into the other area. Assuming you are in the bedroom. otherwise, from couch cover the right side of the remote for that one. OR, you can ask your room steward to find another remote. there are quite a few mini suites on Dolphin that are unoccupied. He found us one after two days.

  10. I had the same problem as you for several hours this morning, then I checked with the Google Play store, and there was an updated medallion app, updated it just now, and now it works again.
  11. It's not the Wyndham, but, 10 minute drive from port, I am staying at Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel with 7 free days parking, then only $5 a day for our 20 day cruise. They have free shuttle. I am not recommending this hotel for it's amenities, only for saving over $500.00. Upon return, if staying one more night, 7 more free days are included.

  13. I just received my upgrade bid that was accepted on my 20 day Nov 27th on the Diamond. Seems reasonable we'll be on our way.
