  1. Hello from Germany, we are planning our silver wedding anniversary 2025 trip and thinking about this: M506 - Transatlantic - Caribbean March 8 until April 6 or M535E - Transatlantic - Caribbean November 17 until December 15 The last one would start at Hamburg but we are aware of the late time of the year. May it be a good period to do an Atlantic crossing and visiting the Caribbean? Perhaps someone has done one of these sailings and help us a little bit. Thanks in advance! Greetings from Germany Thorsten
  2. The teddy has arrived!! Once again a big "Thank you" to safarigal for everything and to all of you for your possible help. Have a great week!
  3. Thanks for all of your help. I will come back to it later, if the teddy will not show up.
  4. Thanks for all of your reply amd yet again a big Thank you to Safarigal. We won´t give up hope.
  5. Here is a quick and sad update: First a very, very big thanks to Safarigal for helping me out with my lost Queen Anne Teddy. She bought me a teddy and send him to me from Southampton nearly 2 weeks ago. But the teddy seems to be lost once again because he did not arrive here in Germany yet. I feel to be inside an episode of "The Twiligt Zone". We are very sad about it but on the other hand glad to meet so many fantastic and helpful people here on the board. Perhaps the teddy will show up but my hopes are not very high. 😭
  6. Can you show me which email you mean below? I will send you mine to pass forward if this is ok.
  7. Fantastic! Awesome!! Thank you. I will pay all the costs but I guess I have to wait until you are on shore again for the shipping.
  8. Would be great. Thank you. Keep fingers crossed that they still have one available. Please check and let me know.
  9. Hello from Germany! We are back from the maiden voyage and it was a fantastic experience. I will write my own review later. But the hardest part is, that our Queen Anne teddy bear did not survied our flight back home. He and some other items was in a small backbag and never turn up at the baggage return station. We wrote a complain and we still miss him very much. My question: Is someone on board so kind to buy a Queen Anne teddy (the one with the green pullover) for us? Of course we would pay all the cost and the shipping to Germany. Thanks again for your help and have a great time on this fantastic ship.
  10. Thanks for the first impressions. Awesome looking. See you all on Friday!
  11. May I ask what you all expect from this Maiden Voyage? Will there be anything special for us? Any fireworks, special sailaways or something like that. I am missing details from Cunard about that.
  12. We will be flying from Dusseldorf, Germany to London on Friday morning where Cunard will bring us to Southampton. We are so excited about it and I have to say that I would prefer to drive 670 miles more than to fly for 1 hour. 🥶
  13. The picture says it all. Thank you so much for your help!!
  14. That´s a good idea! Will it work to put only this inside these luggage tags? I guess my name and the mobile phone number should be also visible.
  15. Hello, we will be on QA´s maiden in one week and I´ve just printed out the luggage tags. We will fly from Düsseldorf (Germany) to London and my question is what to do with the luggage tags. Should I attach them before the flight or when we collect the luggage back at the airport? And how?? I do not have some glue or a stapler with me. Need some advice please. Thanks!
  16. I guess there will be no upgrades for sold out journeys? May it be possible for the Maiden Queen Anne voyage?
  17. Hello from Germany! I´ve contacted Cunard yesterday for some questions. Beside this I´ve asked (just for fun) about a possible upgrade. They asked me if I have choosen the upgrade option when booking (Premium). I did not do that so they marked the option for me now. I have already a cabin number so when would I see an upgrade and is this the usually form? Thanks, Thorsten As always....sorry for my English😇
  18. Thanks for the great infos. We will have a private shuttle from A Coruna to Santiago de Compostella and also a private local tour guide in Lisbon for the day in port. We always try to do so because we can choose someone who speaks German. Counting the days until then.....
  19. We travelled the transatlantic route with QM2 and the Baltic route with QV. Both with our daughters 22 and 17 years old. First they were a little bit "nervous" about it (different language) but they really, really liked both tours. They were "the stars" during the transatlantic cruise, because our daughters were the youngest guest on board and everyone recognized them and said "Hello Hannah and Lea". There were a lot more younger people and childen during the Baltic cruise and it was fun also. By the way my youngest daughter said yesterday that she misses Cunard and all of the stuff and guests so much. Expecially "Do you want more tea....more tea?"😄
  20. Enjoy it. I guess it will be an awesome experience Can not wait to be on the QA for her maiden voyage. Have fun
  21. They were onboard our TA from NY to Hamburg in October last year and even for us German speaking people the performances were very impressiv. I remembering sitting in the theater watching a performance of "Shackleton's Carpenter". I did not unterstand everything but the acting was awesome. I would love to see them again in the future.
  22. We stayed at the Knickerbocker Hotel pre to our first TA trip in October last year. You are very close to Times Square so in the middle of the seightseeing madness. It was a good and for the location quite hotel but it was not a 5 star hotel comparing to other hotels.
  23. This would be my answer to the question: AIDA or Cunard Even as a German (and AIDA is a German company) I know on which ships we stay.....
  24. Thats a good point and exactly my thoughts for not booking the saver fare. But on the other hand we save 2.440 Euros which is a lot of money. We will spend some of that money for a pre stay in Hamburg (with a musical). I would not risk this fare for longer cruises. I guess we will be on deck 1 at the front near the theatre because there are some cabins free at the moment. But we are happy to be back onboard anyway.
