  1. As I said they appeal to those who dont wish to fly or dont have passports.
  2. No and pathology places, the vampires dont bulk bill unless you have A pensioner concession. Dont get me started on that issue.😡
  3. They give discounts but not on going obc.
  4. Too expensive, no value and not worth it. Sorry. Done Northern Explorer in 2009 with my late wife on Sun Princess. Reason why prices so high on domestic and nz cruises is it appeals to those who dont want to fly. So Princess jacks up the price.
  5. Inside cabin, gty, not for me, I could get one of those for $1900 but cannot handle an inside. Tried it once, like being in prison, lol.
  6. 3 times this year, was that not boring doing the same route.? Go hither and explore young man. The world is your oyster.😁 Just do not get 'Crucified' by your spouse. It hurts.lol.
  7. I remember in the late 60's after a night shift I went to Maroubra Beach, fell asleep and woke up in Prince Henry Hospital, severely dehydrated, nearly died with tubes in me. I learnt my lesson. I still like the sun, in moderation. Had a few big skin cancers cut out in the last couple of years. Every time I go to the Doctor now he checks for more, so he can cut them out and charge me $300, lol.
  8. I have been Looking at Princess for Majestic Princess NZ cruise, 25 Nov. to 8 Dec.They want $5092 for the cheapest balcony as a solo. They have to be joking, that is just on $400 a day OMG !!!!🤢
  9. Aldi sell it too. Cheap as chips. Lacura brand, their own.
  10. They would be twin share prices too, double it for a solo, yikes, $500 a day plus.
  11. It is the El Cheapo Cruise thread for the Wealthy people Barry, not you or I old son. Nothing is jumping out at me.🤐
  12. Testing 4000 pax at OPT, ye gods, the queues would go from the OPT to Central Railway Station, lol.
  13. Not to Americans or any other country. As for Carnival, why did they cut theirs, ask the bean counters. Not large amounts, $100 for cruises of 7 to 13 days and $250 for longer ones. I can see Princess cutting it one day if the bean counters have a say in it, like the choccies at turn down and the Elite complimentary internet. Why would you cruise with HAL anyway, on board spending for drinks, tours, speshul restaurants etc is over the top with the Aussie dollar so low, what is it 62 US cents to the Aussie Oxford Scholar?
  14. Yes, Arcadia was 7 weeks in 2012, Sydney to Southampton via Africa, half worldie at a great price. Aurora in 2016 was 3 and a half weeks from Southampton, transatlantic..east coast of USA/Canada and back. P&O do the long cruises well. And kippers for brekkie if you want, lol..
  15. If you want to sail on an older Princess ship, come to Australia, you Americans send many of them down here and many become P&O Australia ships, i.e. Star Princess, Golden Princess. Some remain Princess like Coral and Grand But hang on we have Majestic and Royal Princesses for a while. I am recently off Coral, she is 20 years old and to be truthful in reasonable condition, apart from the squeaks.
  16. Just checked HAL website no indication they give military obc to anyone. Carnival Australia just cut theirs. I won't be writing to HAL, they are too expensive and on board spend is USD, no value for us.
  17. Perhaps they caught a few shonks out who did not really do RATS but printed out a photo from the vast selection internet and the check in staff got tired of seeing the same photo, lol.
  18. Serving and retired defence force, from USA, Canada Australia, NZ and UK. I got $100 on Coral a few weeks ago, got it for years on Princess. I am not sure HAL gives the obc to Aussies, cannot remember if I got it on Noordam in 2019. Perhaps it is a new policy.
