  1. I agree. I received a survey from HAL quite awhile ago that had religious services as a part of a ranking type question. Perhaps this is partly in response to that kind of feedback.
  2. That sounds wonderful! I'm glad you enjoyed your experiences.
  3. Yes, we were able to pick what time we wanted to disembark with CO.
  4. Yes, you can get a day pass and from what I've read on other posts the cost of the day pass will be deducted from a cruise long pass if you purchase it.
  5. Thanks for the information. We too have been to some historic sites where you walk in. Those that accept the senior pass did allow me to enter free of charge with my husband.
  6. Really? I have never come across that
  7. Just to be clear only one person needs to have the senior pass. The pass covers anyone in the car with the pass holder.
  8. Thank you so much for the information. It is appreciated very much!
  9. This has not been the case for us. We have not reverified my husband military status since originally applying for it in 2022.
  10. That's a great attitude to have! It can also be amusing to watch how other people handle the situation 😁
  11. I've been around CC for awhile and have read about these kinds of issues on many different lines from day one. It seems to be some weird rule that most cruise line websites are bad, very bad.
  12. We're planning on doing the same. BA is our final port and an overnight, we will be leaving the ship on the first day. We have informed the cruiseline of our plans. Was there any issue with going through immigration when leaving the ship that early? Thanks for any information you can share about your experience.
  13. He was very apologetic. It was many years ago but I seem to remember it was a new or rental scooter and he was still getting the hang of it.
  14. I no longer have the picture but I did have a nasty set of bruises from someone backing into me, while on their scooter, on our Med cruise.
  15. I've found eSims to be a much easier option than futzing with a physical sim card.
  16. Our TA send us a statement that includes this information: Includes: "Have It All" Perks. Includes: Club Orange Upgrade - VC stateroom at VH rates. Includes: $100 OBC Military Benefit Includes: $100 OBC from Group Program Includes: $1000 OBC as our gift (added prior to sailing). Total OBC - $1200 per stateroom.
  17. Availability varies once onboard. I've found that the longer the cruise, the easier it is to get reservations.
  18. Wow, good for them for admitting their error and offering compensation!
  19. I didn't know that was available on HAL??
  20. Maybe you could use the Let Us Know feature on the Navigator app?
  21. Yeah, I personally would be OK. I haven't cruised that many times but I have never spent much time in the Crows Nest. For scenic sailing areas I'm always outside, even when we were in the Arctic Circle. I found the sea spray usually makes for windows that are not the best for viewing. What I was responding to was the suggestion that this could happen during the Panama Canal transit. To me, that's just playing the What If game to get people riled up. I do agree that this was not a good idea on HALs part and hope they will not do it in the future.
  22. I would also suggest talking with the teens themselves. Giving them realistic expectations for what is and is not available on the cruise is a great way to prepare them for the experience.
