I was referring an extra tip given with not even touching the Daily Service Charge. Why give a crew member cash instead of a charge to our on board account targeted to each crew member? I really don't like carrying cash. I never have more than $20 on my person at home since plastic is so much more secure. I don't like carrying a few hundred dollars onto a cruise ship just to tip. And, if I charge it to my on board account, I get points from my credit card company. Double win for me -- no chance of theft and helps to finance the airfare for my next cruise. 🙂
Because you can't be sure they get it unless you hand it to them. The thought is that the company cheats them and keeps part of it.

I like Pina Coladas and Daquiris. Do they have those at these things? Can you order what you want?

Looking forward to Miami 2021

Is this just in Europe? The US website still says that you can remove DSC
should you wish to remove any of the daily Hotel Service Charge in the unlikely event that you do not receive satisfactory service, you may do so by contacting the Guest Relations Manager on board

Some employers keep a portion of the service charges.
Hmmm. Makes someone wonder.

Does anyone know the charge for the solarium?

What's steerage?

Does the upper deck solarium cost extra on MSC? If so, do you get free drinks or something for the extra cost?

I going to be on a Seaside cruise around that time and so will my kids. My kids get pretty excited about being on a ship and have a good time and can be loud. But they are always supervised with us, but you probably wouldn't like me either because I get pretty excited and have a good time and probably louder than the kids. I can't say I understand people who don't like kids. Try to talk to them and be nice and maybe you'll be surprised.

Who cares lol? Probably makes the cruise a little more fun

Does anyone who has sailed both MSC and RCI care to compare the cleanliness levels? I usually sail RCI and the last few cruises I have noticed the common areas are a little less than clean at times. They have really let things go so no wonder there's norovirus. I have heard MSC is cleaner, true?

Lobster available every day would make MSC stand out no doubt!

I don't know what advertisement you mean, so maybe this is irrelevant. However, lobster was offered without upcharge twice in the main dining room on our cruise (though one of those was a special menu for Christmas day). So, we were able to get lobster, but it wasn't a "Lobster Night."
Twice is one better than Royal. Sounds great. Thanks. On one of the diagrams off the Cruise Mapper site it had a golf simulator. Is that accurate?

I heard that one of the best things about MSC is the blue shower gel in the dispenser. No?

Ok, so I am considering this cruise but have some questions. I saw some discussion about the included lobster advertisement. Was that ever clarified? I am used to a Lobster Night on Royal and wondered if that was offered on MSC?
