  1. Maybe they didn't have enough of the blue bags & substituted the paper bags. I hope blue bags are here to stay.
  2. On my Roll Call for upcoming 34 day Med/TA cruise, laundry was discussed. Someone mentioned they were given paper bags to put dirty clothes when they sent it out to be laundered. Is this the newest thing for HAL to try? Seems like they won't hold up well & they will be going thru tons of paper bags. Anyone seen this on a recent cruise?
  3. Nobody said this piece of plastic was to be cherished like a family heirloom. I had no idea where we were going to put them.... back of the closet in a box never to be seen again. I didn't see the point. We have great pictures in a digital frame on the kitchen counter that I glance at & they give me more memories than a "copper" medal. As it was, we moved a year later & downsized a lot. The "medal" probably would not have made the cut.
  4. We got our first & only Medallion 4 yr ago...maybe it was Copper. We tossed it in wastebasket. Thought it was dumb. I rather have a perk worth something like 50% off for internet use with **** status. Although, I love having free laundry!
  5. We booked the VIP Colosseum Tour at Night thru takewalks.com.
  6. Thanks for posting photo of the stairs. I will make a decision whether we do this after I've had my shots & give them awhile whether this tour is a "go." Normally, I avoid lots of steps.

  8. I hope all the responses have extinguished the flames from the SilkBurke. Geez, HAL isn't trying to pull a fast one. Read the fine print & you won't be surprised!
  9. If elevator is working, does it just go to one level or does it go to all levels. I'm just leery of really high ancient steps. I'm in the process of having gel shots in both knees so I can walk relatively pain free.
  10. Doing the back to back Med cruise in October. We booked a night tour at the Colosseum, but am wondering if stairs are doable? I asked the tour company & they said there is an elevator, but it doesn't work all the time. I am mobile, but stairs can do my knees in. Thanks.
  11. I got one in May or June. Nothing worth reading. Recycled it.
  12. I'm 5'11" & I wear the Starfish leggings from Lands End. I was so cold last May on the Eurodam especially during Happy Hour. AC had to have been set at 68 or colder. Tired of freezing so leggings it is (with appropriate tunics) & a cozy long sweater if needed!
  13. I'm doing smart cruise casual. Gala is one notch above but I bet I'll be wearing an open cardigan. Last year I froze on the Eurodam most nights & grabbed my fleece to wear to dinner. Cold blooded former WI resident.
