Any idea where/when Keith will be now that his ship has left the fleet?

Does NV have a SL now? I was told it was a CL. :confused:

My mistake. The google doc mentions "Concierge/Suite Lounge" but NV is not listed???

Can't find any current info re NV. Who is the Concierge in the Suite Lounge?

Carly joined Vision on Feb 20, so she'll only be there for less than a month before going over to Serenade on March 17. I wonder who will be taking over on Vision?

Yes, that is correct. That is when Drydock is going to be next year.

 

Also, no Empress is not out that far yet, but it will be out of Tampa then anyway.

TO ALL: I am looking for someone who can confirm the CD situation on Allure. The handover didn't occur last weekend as scheduled. Will it occur tomorrow? Is Dru still coming onboard, or has someone else been assigned?

At Captain's Corner this morning, Tim said he was signing off tomorrow. No other details given.

He may be taking a rare few days off between switching ships. :)

and by NE, do you mean Empress? Her notation was NP when she was the Nordic Prince. We'll be on Empress for the Sept 17 sailing so I guess I'll be meeting a new captain (new to us)!

She wasn't Nordic Prince, rather Nordic Empress. NE. 2 different ships.

Capt Diego took over on NE on Jul 18.

You also show him on VI. I'm a little out oftouch since Capt Marek is still on vacation, but Capt Diego was a short term replacement for Capt Michael when the Lindberg baby was born.

July 9 inspection was 97. Not sure how long it takes for reports to be added to USPH site.

In a search for the CDC, there is referenced the "Vessel Sanitation Program."

For those who are deniers, this is truth. A score of 85 or below is failing. On 6/3/16 the Empress received a score of 80. On 5/16 16 the Explorer scored a 91. Some were 100 including the Allure on 6/5/16 and the Freedom on 2/5/16. For more facts the same site describes each and every violation in detail. For those who are further interested, this site shows the date,score and basis thereof of the last inspection of all cruise ships entering US ports. While scores per vessel may vary, for cruisers to ignore them totally to me seems foolish.

On July 9, Empress got 97.

It's a work in progress and I saw a lot of little improvements in the 2-3 weeks since I got off the first time. The crew is really motivated, especially since they had a great USPH inspection earlier this month.

 

There are 2 issues which I heard discussed this trip: lounge area for a Diamond event (some of us just created our own on a de facto basis) and if/when/where the Sunday brunch is. On sea days it is listed in the Compass and on port days it supposedly is in the WJ, but no mention of that and I didn't go to check.

 

 

Beth, how long are you on Empress? I'm coming on the 28th.

Capt Diego did not start on July 9. He was behind the scenes until this morning.

Met Capt Diego yesterday. Capt Carl signs off tomorrow.

Just off NE today. Carlos will be there until sometime in September.

Captain Dimas left the Rhapsody after transatlantic in Barcelona. Now we have Captain Johan Malmberg from Sweden. He is a very outgoing, funny guy. Comes by in the concierge lounge every night ! Not every captain does it

Capt Dimas left on May 13 in Venice.

Looking for info on the impending handovers on Navigator and Vision.

Sorry, Donna. I never got a chance to ask Mike about his schedule. I don't go to that many events and he seemed to flee the ones I did go to.

I have so many cruises on my plate that I confuse myself too often. I'm boarding OV in Southampton next week. Only going to BCN. Then I'll be on HM for 3 weeks, starting with May 22, so I will see you soon!!!

Here on Ovation we enjoyed dinner with an Officer and a Pinnacle lunch with The Captain :D however more importantly than that, we were treated like Royalty every day by many people. Thanks OV team
