  1. On other NCL ships I believe there was food served at a bar that wasn’t on the actual pool deck, but there were steps from the pool deck up to this bar that were easily accessed from the pool deck. ☹️ So the only food to get while sunning on the pool decks is to go to the garden cafe or other inside restaurant? That’s sad and really sad is no more poolside bbq’s. They were something we really enjoyed on NCL and missed having when we tried RCCL. Do they still do poolside bbq’s on the “jewel class” ships?
  2. Does this mean that there are, or will not be in warmer cruises, like to panama, the poolside grills / bar b que burgers and chicken cooked up around lunch time? And, usually there are bars around the pool that also serve lunch type foods, fries and burgers etc. Hope someone tells me that those staples on other Ncl ships are also on Joy🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  3. Just read a Joy review about too much rumbling noise in a cabin and they traced it to the go cart track! (The reviewer didn’t state which deck their cabin was on) Our cabin is on the back side of the ship, but on deck 14, ANYBODY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE GO CART NOISE ON DECK 14 in their cabin? would like to know while we still have time to switch cabins if necessary. (What hours do the go carts run anyway, it may be a moot point if they run 9am - 8pm) Thank you for any input!
  4. Thinking the same thing, but how much time do you actually spend IN the pool? I’ve been giving it some thought and we usually spend more time in lounge chair with occasional dips to cool off. Hoping the pools are large enough for such a large passenger list.

    Ncl Joy

First, I didn’t know I was creating a “board” when I asked if CC would ever update its description of the Joy. Also I figured, inncoreectly, that the Joy was already sailing its new routes, Alaska and Mexico etc. sorry Am now looking forward to the new reviews posted as we are sailing on her in 2020. I’m a little nervous about the pool situation, as one of our favorite things about a cruise is sea days when we just lounge, read and take occasional dips in a pool. Hope the pool is large enough to accommodate all the many passengers (?) NCL is our favorite cruise line so far, hope Joy adds to that list!

    Ncl Joy

Thank you. I will look for the reviews.
  7. Will cruise critic EVER update the description of NCL Joy and add more reviews? SOMEONE must have written another review since it’s moved away from Asian shores and become an Americans, (as in North and South America) ship.
  8. Cool, husband is mail carrier and usually gets a few Starbucks gift cards as gifts! Usually we give them away to friends, but thanks to this we will save for the cruise!
