  1. From recent experience probably not. Tried various coffees in various locations and they where all pretty weak.
  2. We were eventually allocated a room next to a Grand Suite. These are rooms that can be booked as a second bed room for a Grand Suite. However, connection appears to be via a common entrance 'outer vestibule' and not a direct connecting door, so I don't envisage any real problems.
  3. As long as it's got a veranda and butler service, I'm fine with that ! 🙂
  4. Update - Cabin allocated 7 days out. Slight upgrade from Classic to Superior Veranda. Do now suspect that all GTY's get resolved before boarding.
  5. I do realise that some people get cabins assigned to GTY's many months in advance, but that's not the issue here. Simply asking if anyone has experienced the opposite i.e. not having a cabin assigned until checking in at the dock?
  6. Yep, checking there. Interestingly no one has reported only finding out when checking in, so we don't know if that is a possibility or not.
  7. That's basically why I started this thread. I received my e docs, but no cabin assigned. I thought that was strange - but apparently not. Since my cruise was booked via TA and they didn't get answer, I don't see much point in trying SS direct. Anyway, it's more a "nice to know", the world won't end unless we turn up at the dock and find we don't have a cabin 🤪
  8. Yes I realise it is full, but it seems it was full when it was also "Available" - so is it actually full when it shows "Not Available"? More of a gripe at Silversea's booking system. Any way food in La Dame is apparently same as MDR so no great loss. Might just dress up and have dinner in suite.
  9. Tried to book La Dame for the night of our 40th wedding anniversary. At the time My Activities was showing “Available” but actually entering a booking then threw up an “At Capacity” error. Query with Silversea went to London office, who referred it to Sydney office, who basically said talk to your butler when you board. Now notice many weeks later it eventually shows “Not Available”. No idea what is going on.🤷‍♂️
  10. It does seem there is no rhyme or reason as to when GTY’s are allocated cabins. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Thanks for that. I got the impression from reading on the forums that things were resolved by the 2 week mark. Obviously not the case.
  12. Booked a "GTY" guaranteed veranda cabin and we still haven't been allocated a cabin number with 13 days to go until start of cruise. TA reached out to Silversea who replied that it could be allocated any time between now and departure! I thought cabins were allocated at worst 2 - 3 weeks out. Has anyone else experienced possibly not knowing cabin number until embarkation?
