Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Oh, this is a great idea about the towels! I don't like the feeling of those cushions either. We're going to be in a spa cabin on our April cruise on the Magic - it will be a cinch to grab towels at the gym then head up to serenity!
  2. So sorry to hear you caught COVID, hope you feel well soon. I'm loving your review so far, thank you!
  3. I would ignore the 8-9 time, check ins rarely start earlier than 1030 as they have to get all the people from the previous sailing off the ship before they can start your check in/sailling. More specific time will show up later once you are allowed to do online check in. That's frustrating! Could be a few reasons - if your sailing is still very far out, it could be that it's just not actually available for purchase yet. It could also just be a glitch and you need to try again later. It may also mean that a bunch of people hopped on it quick and it is already sold out for your trip.
  4. Make sure you click on the direct link to FTTF excursion first before adding it to the cart - I've read a lot of other people having the same issue.
  5. The games are fairly expensive so you shouldn't expect them to be there for hours and hours. A lot of the games are chance games that they can earn "tickets" on to buy prizes. We gave our son a $50 spending limit when we went on the Dream, which was probably good for about 1-2 hours of play time in the arcade? He had a lot of fun, but it ain't cheap!
  6. You use the sign and sail cards for the arcades, no cash. For minors, Carnival allows you to set up a spending limit on their cards - this is a good option if you want them to be able to play in the arcade for a while using their own card without going completely wild!
  7. My family has an upcoming cruise and Costa Maya is one of our ports. We are probably going to stay in the port area to enjoy the pool and activities there, but I was wondering if there are any lockers to put belongings while you are using the pool? If not, what do people generally do with their belongings while there? Are there changing areas and/or showers near the pool area?
