  1. Your aunt lives in a beautiful environment! Enjoyed this area so much.
  2. Embarkation began in San Francisco aboard the Princess Grand which holds 2600 passengers. At 949 feet in length and 188 feet high the Grand Princess was built in Monfalcone Italy in 1998 and underwent a major renovation in 2018. Thankful to have acquired a balcony view, Baha 744 did not disappoint. Port side of the vessel and so very aft, our balcony was easy to spot from shore as the opening was the only one in the "uprights" of the ship. Peculiar to this room only, the balcony was fully enclosed and afforded the only dry area for viewing on those many wet days. This trip was very rocky getting to our first port in Sitka, AK however it seemed to be an easy ride during the actual "inside passage". Baha is deck 11 and Room 744 was at the furthest point from the middle with the exception of the rear facing balcony rooms. I believe the location of the room exacerbated the rocking and rolling feel of the travel from San Francisco. The balcony was the best location during the trip thru Tracy Arm Fjord on a cloudy and cold day. A few hand warmers strategically placed in my gloves and socks and my GoPro suctioned to the dry sliding glass door secured inside my covered balcony and I was set for the awesome view of the glacier.
