  1. When I booked this cabin a few weeks ago, we had 3 or 4 on deck 19 to choose from. My husband and I actually like being forward on a ship, so we went with the most forward cabin available for that category.
  2. I'm like your husband. I can barely look down at my phone in a moving car (passenger 😃) but have never been seasick on any cruise, including one where we were out at sea during Hurricane Sandy. I do, however, take Bonine at bedtime starting the night before we board. My husband is also prone to seasickness and doesn't take anything and has also never been sick.
  3. We have 19003 booked on Seascape for a B2B in early September. 😃 To the OP, I hope you have a great cruise. We'll be following along.
  4. I know the ships are more expensive, but I think I like this change. Bars will be much easier to eat.
  5. Good idea on adding a few Covid tests! And yes to the travel first aid kit. Mine has just about any OTC med you can think of, cold meds, digital thermometer, etc. Most times we don't need it at all, but there've been a couple of times over the years where it came in handy.
  6. Oh wow...just did a quick google and it says the location is permanently closed. Boo. It was so convenient when we stayed at that Residence Inn.
  7. I've never gotten a pre-boarding email from the MSC concierge like we have in the past with RC. I did however get a call today from an MSC cruise concierge asking if I needed any assistance with our upcoming cruises. Strange, because they were booked a few weeks ago and we don't sail until September.
  8. We've done this exact same thing several times. Also, if you're a Hertz person, the Residence Inn at PC had a Hertz facility right in front of the hotel. We return there and take their shuttle right to the port. Been a while since we've sailed out of PC though.
  9. Is there wine on the list? I don't really see us mixing a cocktail in our room when we can have it delivered. Is this what they do on all ships now? Silly question, but are there still those little cans of nuts in the mini-bar?
  10. Thanks. Whenever I've tried this on other in-room coffee makers, there's a coffee taste to the water. Those weren't Nespresso machines though.
  11. Good to hear no upgrading necessary. Hendricks won't be a problem for my husband's G&Ts. Do they still serve Moet in the Top Sail? I know that's what I was drinking with the upgraded package. There was a Moet Rose that was quite tasty.
  12. Is Hendricks part of the YC drink list now?
  13. We haven't sailed since 2021. Our last cruise was on Meraviglia in the YC. Is it still possible to upgrade to the top tier package by paying the difference, or is that now included with YC? On our last cruise we had quite of bit of OBC to blow thru and did the upgrade. We'll be sailing on Seascape in September, no OBC this time, but may want to do the upgrade again if it's an option. Is there a current YC drinks list available?
  14. We've sailed twice in the YC (Meraviglia and Seaside). I know there's a coffee maker (Nespresso?), but we've never had a tea kettle like we have when sailing in suites with RC (Caribbean itineraries, not Europe). (Haven't sailed in a while with RC, so maybe they're not doing this anymore.) Are tea kettles available with MSC?
  15. Thank you for taking the time to post. Definitely interested in World Europa. We're also big fans of the YC product. I haven't really done any research at all on this ship and am already a little confused. For some reason I thought the entire ship had YC type staterooms, that it would be competing with Regent and Oceana, so a little confused to see that you're in the YC. What makes World Europa different from other MSC ships?
  16. Do you know if the wine tasting event is something they offer each week?
  17. A laundry perk, like they do on Celebrity, would be a great.
  18. Finally decided on dates and booked a B2B on Seascape for September. We're celebrating my husband reaching full retirement and have all the time now for longer cruises. The only obstacle was our dog, but our daughters have both stepped up to the plate and will care for her so we're good to go. We've only done B2B's on RC and our last one was in 2015. Is the process pretty much the same and do they have any type of lunch on turnaround day for B2B cruisers? We're in the YC if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
  19. YC is an entirely different experience and I mean that in a good way. Exceptional service throughout, and their private pool deck is amazing. There are so many great outdoor spaces within the YC and actually ship wide, so if you can do without the balcony, I'd take the upgrade. Also, your premium beverage package is included with YC (not sure about Aurea), and you also have unlimited access to the thermal spa area. Private dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there's an outdoor grill restaurant on their pool deck serving breakfast and lunch. Just be warned that once most people try YC, it's the only way you'll ever want to cruise.
  20. Agree 100%. Also, you MUST have water shoes if you want to dip your toes into the water. Kind of surprised there isn't something they could do to make that beach surface a little more comfortable.
  21. Great attitude! Enjoy your upcoming cruises. Cheers!
  22. Yes! I loved this YC perk. I also have my husband pop that bottle of bubbly on the first day and enjoy that while I'm unpacking.
  23. If you book Yacht Club on any MSC ship, you won't be disappointed.
  24. Forgot to mention our new booking for September isn't the one we were originally looking at either. We're now doing a western Caribbean itinerary that DOESN'T make a stop in Nassau. Done the itinerary many times, but it's been a while since we've been to GC, and we always like taking a walk around town in the morning and back on board for lunch. Cozumel will either be a beach day at Nachi Cocum (if you haven't been, highly recommend) or just stay on the ship and enjoy the YC pool. Really more about the ship for us.
  25. Booked, but now we're going in September instead of May. And I've already made a change to my reservation. Originally booked a YC1 which is what we've had in the past, then watched some YouTube videos of ship tours and saw the larger one with a walk-in closet. (Grand?) Called MSC to switch cabins and the rep noticed my 5% Diamond discount hadn't been applied to my original booking. She took care of that, and my new booking is still less than my original one. And yes, we loved Seaside! This will also be our third cruise with MSC and all in YC too. So excited!
