  1. On our recent Reflection TA they kindly left us chocolates every night but they were Belgian Milk Chocolate not the flavoured ones.

Does anyone know if this is the same for all of the ships as we will be on the Constellation in a few months and I am rather partial to the ginger flavoured chocolate that we have had on the other ships :o

  2. Did you ever wait for a lounger?

Did Celebrity expand the space & add heated loungers on the Reflection to accommodate extra AQ class cabins?

I visit the Persian Garden every day on an S-class cruise. The loungers are wonderful relaxation.

    -Marisa

We didnt ever wait maybe it was because of the time we went there but I believe some people did. I dont know what the original space was so I have no idea if it has been expanded, but I think there were the same amount of loungers when we were on Equinox a couple of years ago.

There's maybe about 12 /14 loungers in total

  3. We were on the recent TA on Reflection in AQ and spent quite a bit of time in the Persian Gardens. If you are on a port intensive cruise you may not feel you have so much time to spare though.

The heated loungers are wonderful! Spent quite a bit of time chatting in the ice room after the steam room and sauna, maybe 15/20 minutes at a time.

I think that's possibly too long, but it was extremely pleasant :)

  4. Are you trying to change from "an inside to an inside" or more specifically from a category 9, 10, 11 or 12 to another numbered category within the general "inside" category?

I can see not allowing changing from a 9 to a 12 for example (even though both are INSIDES), but think they would allow a change from a 9 to another 9 cabin.

We have an A2 and I just want to change to a different A2 cabin...same category, just a different position on the same deck. I prefer to be under the carpeted area of the Cafe rather than under the pool area.

  5. I mistakenly thought that you could ask to be changed to a different cabin within the same category once you had been allocated your cabin.

Well, apparently you can, but you have to pay the difference between what you were charged and the full rate for the category.

Just to let you know, we'll be staying with our allocation :o

  6. We chose AQ GTY and have been allocated 9079 which is under the pool area and I think might be a bit noisy due to deck cleaning and chair moving.

It seems that there are other A2 cabins that are available that we could ( I think) change to which are under the Oceanview Cafe. 9106 through to 9116 are available.

Does anyone know if any of those have less overhang or are they all much the same?

  7. The grovel will be worth it. :)

    It worked!

Everyone who was thinking I was out of my mind can now rest at ease. We are flying in 2 days before....more shopping time!!! ;)

Thanks to all for your input and concern, all in our best interests, as always.

  8. Thanks everyone for your advice.

We've actually been to Istanbul before and are aware of the traffic problems but you know what it's like, you just want someone to give you the answer you want to hear ;) now I'm going to have to see if I can get an extra day off of work as it takes me over my allowance :o.

I hate having to grovel to the boss

But I do love to cruise :D

  9. I have learned a lot about the architecture and the physics of a ship from the preceding comments. Turbulence in air or motion on the water are concerns. In cruising, we trust in the design of the ships and the competence of the Captains (and companies). I will try a mid sized ship on a TA and then I will be better able to compare both the experience and the environment compared to other larger ships.

    Thank you again!!

I'm not sure you'll meet such wonderful people as you did this year though ;)

    Bernice :D

  10. Indeed

We fly out tomorrow so it's an evening busy packing. Done everything else so just need to pack and then a quick whizz round the house to do a quick clean and we're off bright and early tomorrow morning. Heathrow for 9am.

    :D

Weather in Miami for next 4 days is showing as 31c so we're mega excited to have some proper warm sun before we cruise.

I have work tomorrow , then staying at an hotel at Heathrow tomorrow night and fly on Thursday morning. I wanted at least one day for "mall" shopping ;)

Safe travels and maybe we'll meet on board.

  11. Hey British Betty

We're on the same cruise as you and I'm so glad you posted this as spent hours printing everything I needed yesterday but completely forgot our Xpress Passes! So thank you - otherwise we would have been the ones waiting for hours to board probably!

    See you in 4 days

    Laura

Glad I was able to help ;)

    Excitement is mounting :D

    Bernice

  12. Its one pass per folks in the room that are on the same credit card. If you and your Roomie were using different credit cards you would get two xpress passes. If you look at the one that you got it lists both names and indicates that one person will be responsible for the charges from both people.

    Steve

We've always been in the same room and use the same credit card and I'm almost positive we've had two separate xpress passes.

Both our names are on the one pass this time so we're good to go :D:D

  13. I have just completed our online check-in ( yep, exciting I know! :D ) and am just wondering if I've missed something as it seem that we are both on one pass. I'm sure we had separate passes last time.

    Could someone please confirm

    Thanks

  14. We had booked a C1 for our Far East cruise on Millenium February 2013. I think we paid over the odds for it as it was the last one available but as it was a "special " birthday trip decided it should be as special as we could make it . I happened to check after final payment and lo and behold, there was the corner FV available. As I knew we'd paid "top dollar" anyway, and we weren't bothered about the extras that come with CC (it's all about the balcony !) , we were able to straight swap our cabin. We had 9156 and were thrilled with the extra space and ballroom sized balcony. The hallway was a perfect place for our luggage, and there was lots of it due to Far East bargains ! :D

Our first evening, our table companions mentioned about the noise from the bar above in the mornings as they had stayed in that cabin before,so we just thought we'd wait and see how things went. From about 6am it was noisy, chairs scraping, tables scraping. It woke us both up and although I spoke to the head barman later in the day and mentioned it, they obviously have their work to do and that's just the way they do it. After a couple of very early mornings, we mentioned it to Guest Relations . As luck would have it, the FV directly below us was available and we were moved down one deck.

We loved everything about it, our stateroom attendant even let us order breakfast from the CC breakfast list..

As it was a Far East Cruise, there weren't many (if any) small children aboard, however, there was a family, or maybe two, with teenage children who all had the C1 cabins on our deck and they frequently decided to meet in the C1 cabin right next door to us after the disco, late at night

The moral of this story is that ....ermmmmm ...I'm not sure really:confused:. We loved the FV ...would choose it again if the opportunity arose but on deck 7 or 8 . .

.. And you can choose who you share your cabin with, but you can't choose who is next door or above or below ;)

    Happy cruising !
