  1. You can join the Army .. Free travel. Dangerous places.
  2. While Royal/Celebrity may be slow in making the correct decision, at least they finally got there...
  3. I am seeing old posts on page 1 that do not have a new reply. I refresh the page and it goes away. Not very often ... I am not doing a search.
  4. If they took it seriously there would not be the cartels... Certain regions in Mexico are on the State Department list. For example: Do not travel to Sinaloa state due to crime and kidnapping
  5. I had my moveup offer accepted on my last cruise. Perhaps try an upgrade. Maybe you can get a better room.
  6. If you book directly with the airlines there is a chance they will put you on another airlines' flights. I booked Air Italia (sp), they cancelled, and I was put on a better Delta flight. Booking hotels or flights with a middle man makes me nervous.
  7. If you have the time, fly into Maui a week before your cruise ...
  8. Mexico has had violence down there. The drug cartels go where they go. There is more violence on the west coast of Mexico though. My view of the Mexican army/police was in Puerto Vallarta. They told us, "We know where the banditos are".
  9. I just saw an old post show up on Page 1. I went to check the date of the last post and it was Feb. 2023. I refreshed the page and it was gone. This is the 2nd time I have seen this happen this week. The first old post I saw on Page 1 I responded to 😁
  10. Snorkel in Bonaire. Take a tour with beaches in Aruba. Do an island tour in Curacao.
  11. You can also cancel and rebook prior to 90 days for whatever reason. There is a $200 penalty...
  12. There is nothing unusual here. You can normally book a cruise less than 90 days out and get a discount if it is not sold out.
  13. 1. People will be in a IV, but talk about how they are on the balcony 😁 2. People think that if you open the window that the AC stays on.
  14. Perhaps they are self insured ... This kind of reminds me of the time I was on a Royal cruise. The week before the captain had taken the ship out into a storm with 30 footers and burned out one of the azipods ... Our cruise still went on the week after, but the crew was a little spooked.
  15. Yet still a bunch of misconceptions about what they are and how they work ...
  16. Only 27% on Icon. LOL. This suggests that 27% actually like these cabins. Sounds about right.
  17. Does the insurance even cover such a situation. I know that most of the insurance I have seen has exclusions for insurrection, terrorism, etc. At what point does the insurance company say it was negligence due to the level 4 State department travel warning and not cover claims?
  18. Spell checkers and grammar checkers. Does Celebrity not have these pieces of software?
  19. BYO A/C. Bring your own portable A/C to plug in when the window is open ...
  20. It is a yearly medical/medical evacuation plan. Others had mentioned it, so I went to go take a look. There were two levels of coverage. The higher level had ambulance up to 150 miles and other premium coverage. That is where I found this. I also wonder what is covered in crisis response... The best that I could figure out is that it provided counseling and advice for additional services such as evac.
  21. Ah... Not for me... But kudos to Celebrity selling a window cabin for a balcony price.
  22. When you compare the price of the Princess Premier package to the Celebrity Premium drink package they are about the same. Except the Princess package includes a lot more.
  23. The extras on Princess are quite a bit less...
