  1. I don’t know, I’ve been doing my share of moaning in various threads, but Miami made me laugh.
  2. Celebrity has been extending cancellations basically a month at a time, the latest round is through 7/31, but I’m sure next month they will announce the next group that will almost certainly include your cruise. I understand your frustration, especially when your cruise just misses their arbitrary cut off date. We had a June 13th planned cruise out of Rome that just missed the last round (cut off date was 6/11) It was finally officially cancelled by Celebrity this week. We expected it would be cancelled and planned accordingly.
  3. Even if some things are starting to open up, I can’t imagine Italy, Spain and France will open up to cruise ships any time soon. I also think that as things are opening up, we will see some new outbreaks of COVID which might impact future stages.. it’s so hard to predict what July and August will look like, but with cruises being in the news for all of the wrong reasons during this pandemic, I think cruising will be one of the last things to reopen.
  4. I totally agree with you. I am glad that we’ll finally be able to request a refund for our June 13 Apex cruise out of Rome. But I’m so disappointed in how Celebrity has handled the cancellations, no FCC or lift and shift for us. We are done.
  5. We are on the Apex sailing out of Rome on June 13th. I was hoping they’d extend the cancellations last week... hopefully it will be this week.
  6. Yes, but Celebrity has still only cancelled cruises through June 6th.
  7. " Now, two studies reveal infected people harbor T cells that target the virus—and may help them recover. Both studies also found some people never infected with SARS-CoV-2 have these cellular defenses, most likely because they were previously infected with other coronaviruses." https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/05/t-cells-found-covid-19-patients-bode-well-long-term-immunity
  8. I agree, it's very complicated. I think the least they can do is extend the cancellations for 60 days, vs the 30 days they have been doing. Our Mediterranean cruise out of Rome is scheduled for June 13. Of course, that won't be happening, and it's very frustrating that I'm still waiting for Celebrity to officially cancel the cruise.
  9. On April 15th, they extended cancellations through June 11. I predict Friday, they’ll announce the next round. I wonder if they’ll keep up the sham and only cancel through July 11, or extend further out this time.
  10. Within a week, I predict you’ll get a cancellation notice from Celebrity. A month ago, they extended cancellations for cruises through 6/11 and I’m expecting this week will announce cancellations into July..maybe further. We are on a 6/13 cruise out of Rome, so we just missed the cut off from the last round, expect to get notice this week.
  11. But if Celebrity cancels the cruise, there should be no cancellation charge.
  12. This is the first I’ve heard of a rash being associated with COVID-19. I found this article, interesting info https://consultqd.clevelandclinic.org/skin-rashes-an-emerging-symptom-of-covid-19/ I wonder when they will have a reliable antibody test.
  13. And this will also impact other Non-essential businesses as they try to eventually reopen.
  14. June 13 for us..Apex out of Rome. We were so excited to cruise on this brand new ship 😥
  15. They are just cancelling in one month batches..the first round was through May 11, and now June 11. I’m sure in one month they will announce cancellations through July 11 and so on through the summer. They can’t seem to keep up right now with refunding people for the cruises already cancelled... imagine if they announced 4 more months of cancellations at once. We have a June 13th cruise out of Rome that is clearly not happening, but we just missed the cutoff. So now we wait another month to request our refund. If i could go back in time and not make that final payment and cancel, I would. The best option is to not give them any more money.
