Never have I ever been on a Celebrity cruise where the Sky Lounge was monopolized for most of the cruise by Park West. Ongoing issue on Eclipse and I’m scheduled to sail her soon. 😡

I’m not sure where you are looking…but if you check the Celebrity app for the current Eclipse sailing, you will see shows each night at 7 and 9 as usual. It’s possible the first night might be different. But every night will have the show at both times.

My previous home town, Washington, GA had a direct hit from Helene. The whole county is without power or landlines. No stores open as no electricity. No gas stations open. I feel terrible. I heard from my closest two friends briefly yesterday…but not since as they need to conserve cell battery. They can charge the phone in their car but I don’t know how long that takes. No matter how much preparation I would have made if I still lived there…I would never have expected to be without power for days! Once when I lived there the power was out for three days…but that was in the winter…and there were stores open! I hear Augusta, Lincolnton and Thomson (nearby towns) are equally decimated. I wish there was something I could do!

On Celebrity it’s called the Oceanview Cafe. It could very well have been my DH you encountered at the shrimp table. We were sharing a table at lunch with two ladies we’d never met and one of them said “I bet I can get some garlic butter for these shrimp!” Off she went and she did come back with a bowl of garlic butter. My DH thought that was a great idea and followed suit. (I had finished eating way before this.) DH certainly enjoyed his garlicky feast…and had no need of a ship’s physician. You should have seen the mountains of shrimp shells…

Our cat would do the same. When I’d open the door to prove she really would not want to go outside she’d move to another door and look over her shoulder at me to open that one. Surely it can’t be raining outside every door!!

Even in our downsized home, it can be raining in the backyard and not in the front…

Not only is the Chihuly glass spectacular…but imagine the difficulties in packing and shipping such things!!!

We’re fine. Lights flickered and internet glitched several times last night but came right back. Didn’t go to bed until late listening to wind gusts. This morning reveals no wind damage on our street. I was taping Dr. Odyssey but saw it was pre-empted with storm reporting so I set the TV to tape the repeat tonight; sounds like the consensus is I needn’t bother….

This is incorrect. I don’t know the latest day in the cruise you can buy it…but when you do it is pro-rated.

A familiar sight…

Just tell him that. After Minnie had her cancerous growth removed last year I was told she needed to drink water within two days or I’d have to bring her back. She was so out of it from anesthesia that her first night home she walked over to her water dish…and walked into it and just stood there. No drinking. The next day when she still hadn’t drunk any water I told her “If you don’t drink water today I’m going to have to take you back to the vet’s.” Two minutes later George said “Look!” She was drinking out of the water bowl.

The only odd thing about Buc’ees is there are no windshield washers. Evidently they want you to gas up and move on…but it’s buggy in Florida and we always clean the windshield when we stop for gas.

@bobmacliberty No kidding on the biblical rain!! I needed to pick up a prescription yesterday…drove over to Walgreens on the island…power out along Sadler and Walgreens was closed with no idea of a reopening time. Sigh. Needed that prescription so we had to drive 40 minutes to north Jax to another Walgreens. Via flooded roads and idiots that didn’t even slow down for the many ponds we had to plow through.
