  1. Hats, purses, belts, sunglasses, swimsuits, lots of uses. Best idea I've gotten off this website.
  2. Got email yesterday regarding our Ascent Nov 17-24 cruise. Originally we were going to Labadee, but that changed couple months ago to Grand Turk. We booked a rum tasting/beach tour, on sale. Yesterday we got email advising tour operator canceled due to scheduling conflict, and refunds would be done within 14 days. We paid with OBC. This still shows as booked in cruise planner. Excursions are hit and miss due to technical issues on we site, but I was hoping to use the refunded OBC for new purchase. Suggestions? Should I cancel booking and hope for the usual 'instant' OBC credit, or wait it out? Would rather do what I booked, not sure if it may become 'active' again or not. Not huge issue, $175, bought excursions during a sale, but no such sales now. Thanks
  3. I only use the card for RCL group cruises, deposits, cruise planner items, final payments. Double points. Moved $700 to RCL new years eve cruise OBC as I don't have drink package, tips or anything else in cruise only fare. Never carry a balance on any cards.
  4. How do you find which "class" of economy FBC is selling? FBC shows either Economy or Business class, but on United website they have 3 economy. I'm assuming it's the middle based on pricing, and seat assignment in advance. Went to United and they didn't list it either on reservation, maybe because it's a consolidator fare? Thanks, first time FBC user.
  5. Thanks, order history does show classic drink package, and basic wifi. But when I go to beverages in planner I do not get option for upgrade, just option to purchase full package, either classic or premium. Trying to upgrade when on sale. Unable for July 25 Iceland, but could buy upgrade for October 25 transpacific online. Love X IT dept.
  6. How would anyone know whats on Celebrity side unless they called? On wife's app it looked like she was traveling solo. On my app cruise disappeared. Nothing like a good IT issue to get wasted calls to CSRs. Of course, I still can't book drink upgrade on my Iceland trip as planner only shows full package purchase while reservation shows AI cruise fare....
  7. I had same issue early this morning. Checked few minutes ago, I'm back on our Nov Ascent trip.
  8. My emails were significantly delayed for cancel and rebooking
  9. How is this different than other large groups renting Sky Lounge? Our last S class trip had 800 affiliated travel agents, all with same shirts and badges using SL as their home base. Training sessions, checkin center for scavenger hunts, private cocktail hours, etc. Granted, wasnt every day, but once turned away we seldom went that direction. Guessing X is charging them rent for space, much more than our reading sessions would ever pay. Disappointing, yes, deal breaker? No.
  10. You can check your cruise planner for current prices. Then watch the sales. If you find it cheaper, you can cancel previous order, and rebook at lower price.
  11. Amazon doesnt cooperate well with VPN's or proxy servers.
  12. I was using express but I couldnt get full speed downloads with it. 680 down with vpn off. Express was about 260 down. Pcmag said Nord was fastest, but still only get 380 down. So i just learned to accept it. Large downloads I turn it off, back on when done.
  13. I used BOA Celebrity points for OBC on Royal New Years eve. Redeemed 25k on 6/28. Didnt post to online view. Called, CSR said dont worry, we have until a week prior of sailing to post. Last week still didnt see it, so I called again, explaining i cant book ahead of sailing. Was put on hold about 10 mins, Jose came back and said its handled. 15 minutes later it was attached online and i could spend it. But we will spend it on cocktails since we dont have drink package on Royal. You can print out copies of confirmation from BOA website as needed, after the fact.
  14. Tourney ysually held in afternoon, on sea day but not always. Played with fake chips, for tourney only. As NG pointed out everyone gets the same. There is a max and min bet per hand. Last hand no limit. They play as many rounds as they have entrants. You can buy as many entries as you like, if you bust out first time. Each round they keep track of a leaderboard, as once all entries are done, the top 7 scores will play one final table to determine winner. Used to be $500 promo chips to winner, but on one trip the hostess polled players and they paid 3 spots. $300/150/50. Rules are normal BJ rules, except BJ pays 2:1. Split pairs, no double after split, double any 2 cards, no insurance offered, hit soft 17, keep chips in clear view. No side bets. Its always been dealt from shoe, with manual shuffle between each table. My last ship they played 8 rounds of qualifying. Since max bet is limited, I've seen players split 10's to get more chips out on a later hand. I had a pair of aces on last hand and i was all in on initial bet, so no chips to split. Thats the way it goes, busted instead of getting 2- 21's. If you get a decent score, you will want to stick around and check after each round to see if still on leaderboard. If not, you are free to continue having fun elsewhere, no reason to stick around. Usually lot of watchers, area gets crowded. If you want a certain position at table, stand near that chair before your round. Also, your entry ticket will specify what round you play in. Get ticket early from cashier, you play early. Rebuy and you might be in round 5. Any winnings are paid in promo chips, you cant cash those in. So you play them, if you win, you win real chips which of course you can cash out at cage. Hope this helps, have fun!
  15. Agree, and the floor to ceiling dark shade makes it hard for 1 person to enjoy view while the other sleeps
  16. I'd rather use my ink than waste my time waiting on porters to properly tag my bags accurately. But we all have different priorities.
  17. Very true, but you can apply as soon as cruise booked. I've already got shareholder credit for Oct 25 cruise. They dont re-verify if I still hold shares. And IIRC, its $50 for 6 days or less.
  18. If you own 100 shares of RCL stock, you get shareholder OBC. $250 on cruises over 14 days.
  19. Thanks all, appreciate it. And true, there are slot machines halls, in Iceland but no gambling with cards. Sports betting is also allowed.
  20. We are going to sail July 2025 on Silhouette, 7 days, 5 Iceland ports, RT from Reykjavik. In port roughly 7am -6pm daily. Google says there is no casino style gambling in Iceland, just national lottery. So is it safe to assume casino will open while sailing between ports, in international waters? Thanks in advance for anyone visiting ports in Iceland.
  21. Our TA just did this trip week ago, said same thing. Hers was free blue chip trip, even free, never again.
  22. DW prefers rooftop filet over Fine Cut, so we will book Rooftop grill twice a cruise.
  23. Appreciate your post, enjoyed the posts. Thanks
