  1. Hey its coming. We have 4 new cruises just booked recently. The O rep said it should be no problem to get the sale applied to them. We will see as we now are turning them over to a TA. NO not the TA I had last time, who would not even consider doing anything for us in regards to the sale. So will see how we can benefit this time. We will be on the Marina when this sale happens, so will have to communicate with our TA from the cruise, just adding another wrinkle to it. Share your stories with this sale as we wait for the next one.
  2. you did really well....glad to see it... as for us...our TA would not even entertain the idea of trying to figure out how to do that for us on the booked cruises we had...so could not benefit in any way...now with 4 new cruises booked and a different TA we will see what can be done.... I think I will post a new topic for this.....so please contribute to it....we will see how it all shakes out...
  3. We booked two. Yes with an O rep first and now will turn it over. The O rep was able to snatch the last French balcony on a 22 day TA. But it is a wheel chair accessible cabin. I dont want that. Im sure someone else may need it. So now will see if there is a sale on Black Friday, to see if I can go up a few cats. I think O did very well on opening day.
  4. We have used an amazing O rep to book all of our cruises. He makes sure everything is right. Then I use the 30 days to turn it over to an agent that will give me additional obcs and a rebate. I like this system as the O rep is very knowledgeable and always has our best interest. I email him and arrange a time when he can call and get all this done by phone. He usually preps it all just from the email and then holds for a week, while we make sure all is in order. He has told me many times that there is NO loss to him when I turn it over to an agent.
  5. I see. Well then that is why there is no document for the 300. A while ago, on the ship they also said the rule would apply within 30 days of returning home. I tried to apply it and was told the rule NEVER existed by some experts here. I named the Ambassador (sales rep) on the Riviera that told us that. I was then told is that rep was spoken to and told not to give out that information. Seems a lot of information is done somewhat secretly. When you challenge it, you are given the same old line, " it was a temporary promotion". Making you feel like you are making up something that does not exist. I promised that I would from now on get these things in writing from the Ambassadors on the ship. They are saying one thing and management is then saying something else.
  6. Thank you for posting that. Guess if you are now in the 30 days before zone, you should take advantage of it.
  7. We booked an Alaska and a Med cruise with an O rep, last week....we got 200 off price per person, reduced deposit of 250pp and 150pp OBC for each of them, since we are sailing on Nov 19.... We have 30 days to turn it over to an agent for further benefits.... Once on the ship, there are leaflets that describe the benefits of booking on board. This may warrant posting a separate topic, someone may come up with the definitive doc.
  8. I dont have the document... but have booked several cruises using the on board, or 30 day rule...got 300 per cabin for all of them...had nothing to do with promos....just the rule...
  9. We have been able to book for existing itins, using the 30 day pre cruise rule. We will be on board nov 19. We got 300 OBCs for this.
  10. ah...h avent gotten the brochure and cant seem to find it on line...so seems that on line not everything is showing that is in the brochure....guess I should wait till all is available before rushing to judgement...
  11. Well I have spent a lot of time now looking at the new itins for 24, 25...nothing really out for 25... Very disappointing in general, unless I have missed something. The Transatlantics have all the same ports we have done for the past two years. The Caribbean have nothing like the one they cancelled for Dec 5, 2023. In fact I didnt see Aruba anywhere. Has anyone else found an interesting Transatlantic or Caribbean? And of course prices are up.
  12. We have a friend who is 6'7"..what is the length of the bed? Do beds even come that length. Never considered it for ourselves. We are 5'7 and 5'1".But he is very concerned, rightly so.
  13. We got the invite but I dont plan to register. Just want to see it in print.
  14. MIssed ports, other cruise lines compensate for that. In this case, with so many missed, you are really owed something.
  15. We cancelled and are booking an Alaska instead. Have been but many years ago.
  16. Decided not to wait for Black Friday. Will go ahead and book our Alaska cruise now. I also think Black Friday sale will NOT apply to the new itins being released in Nov. So as soon as they appear, if I see something I like, I will book it.
  17. I looked up the Black Friday sale of last year. It is where they give you a 4 CAT upgrade but it applies to very few cruises. Probably the ones they cant sell. We are interested in an Alaska cruise for Sept of 2023, all is available but what are the chances it would be on the sale. Probably none.
  18. The fact that it is not obvious is good news in itself. If there were huge cases, the information would trickle out.
