  1. so does this mean there’s no more bar in the casino?! That seems crazy?! How does that work?
  2. Hi all, I’m going on my first B2B! Do we have to do the in-app checkin for both cruises or just the first one? thanks! jenn
  3. Anyone who has done this excursion who can compare it to the experience of staying on board and viewing the glacier? It looks really cool but we are a family of 4 and I am trying to determine if it’s worth the $800 cost. Thanks!
  4. Anyone know how to check your FCC's? I just got this email but I thought I had used up all my FCC. But I'm not really sure. How might I check??
  5. We weren't in it very long as fortunately she only got sick the afternoon before disembarking (and is 11 so we didn't ask for any special activities). For entertainment we basically just got free movies on the TV, and free wifi (which we had already purchased...). There was a big case of waters in the cabin (which was an oceanview cabin on a low deck), and they only offered us the regular room service menu, though I didn't ask about any special menus. Obviously no room service charge. They did bring me an alcoholic drink (for free, I think) when I asked for one. It wasn't bad at all for us due to my daughter's age and the fact that it was the last day of the cruise -- but I can imagine with 3 young children that would be quite stressful.
  6. This happened to us when my 11-year-old (vaccinated) child tested positive on our last sea day on Harmony last month. Funny enough, we were also traveling with my parents (in another cabin, but adjoining) and my father tested positive too. My mom tested negative (until the day of disembarkation) so she stayed in the cabin when my dad was sent to the red zone. When my daughter tested positive, the rest of us (me, my wife, and my son) tested negative and so just I went down to the red zone with her while my wife and son could stay in the cabin. So I think it all kind of depends on whether the other family members test negative, but yes of course for a minor child one parent will have to accompany them.
  7. Hi all -- this question is for anyone who tested positive for covid onboard and submitted travel receipts to Royal for reimbursement. We got covid on board Harmony in March and couldn't fly home from Florida to NY upon disembarkation, so we rented a car and drove back home. Onboard they said (and we were given a letter confirming that) Royal would cover our expenses for car rental, lodging and meals, and we submitted everything to the email address they gave us just after we got back. Does anyone have experience with this and can give me an idea of what to expect in terms of reimbursement time? And do they mail a check? Thanks for any experience anyone can share! Jenn
  8. Just curious as my kids are tweens now... at what age do others let their kids explore/travel around the ship on their own? My twins are 11 and I remember on their last cruise, at age 9, Adventure Ocean would have allowed them to self-sign-out and while we did not approve that at the time, they were annoyed at us because most of the kids were allowed to self-sign-out. Now that they are 11 I'm a little more open to it, but still a little wary (this would be on one of the larger Royal Caribbean ships). At what age have you let your children wander around a large ship on their own? What parameters did you set? Did your kids have a phone/wifi? Thanks for sharing your experience!
