  1. Thanks for the outstanding review. We'll be on the Bliss very soon!
  2. Same here. The vast majority of the time we use Southwest Points and Hyatt Points. SW can be cancelled up until something like ten minutes before the flight.
  3. Good. That's a relief. He's new to the US and doesn't have a large US repertoire. Queen? He does a great "Fat Bottomed Girls" (seriously, ask him). Also, he does a great job (and likes) Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here. He told me it was the only Pink Floyd song he had learned. He also likes Dylan. He told me he liked "dark" songs and I encouraged him to learn Dylan's "Not Dark Yet." If you get a chance, you might ask him if he's done that. Hopefully he'll do some of his Irish Pub sing alongs. He actually broadened my musical interests! I miss Ryan and hope to sail with him again.
  4. Songs that NCL dictated? That's disappointing. When we were on the Joy with him last October, he was able to play whatever he wanted to. I'm really sick of this woke-mandated "here's what you can play" stuff. Our last two cruises have clearly suffered from it in many venues and it's time for NCL to get over it. I had at least two great one-on-one discussions with Ryan and he's very much aligned with music that people like us appreciate. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy his true talent at some point. At least there's good beer in the DBH! 😎
  5. I've been offered to take less cleaning, but it's been to save the planet, not to lower my bill 🤣
  6. Why do some of you think that DD went to the buffet? She clearly stayed at Teppanyaki with DF and DM, as would be expected with any vacationing family. Do some of you really think that the $70 bill should have been paid?
  7. I'll be the contrarian. If a passenger's kid is included at any specialty restaurant, but doesn't eat items on the regular menu, then they shouldn't have to pay anything extra unless NCL clearly posts a policy. Just one man's opinion, and it doesn't have to be shared by anybody else.
  8. Where did you check this? Can you provide a link?
  9. Next time, book one more specialty than you intend to use. Then you can cancel the one with the conflict.
  10. I'm familiar with a dirty martini, but what's a dirty bloody Mary?
  11. I pack extremely light, but slippers are always a staple. On sea days, they may never leave my feet. 😎
  12. The observation lounges on the other Breakaway Plus ships also have ice/water dispensers. I haven't been on the Bliss (yet) but it's probably the same.
  13. Apparently, somebody is paying those "silly prices." "Occupancy is expected to average approximately 100% for the first quarter and is on track to reach historical levels for the second quarter."
  14. I just had it applied to two July 2025 bookings. My guess is that it can be applied to any future booking.
  15. Thanks. I'll keep that in mind for future cruises.
  16. How did you know that you got two bags? Our recent ten day didn't even have any bags in the room and we had to ask for them.
  17. From what you have shared with us, I'm guessing that you (like myself) appeared well enough insulated without the blanket? 🤣
  18. This! I squeeze the buck so tight that the Eagle smiles. 😎 I enjoy playing table Blackjack, but probably haven't done it since the Vegas casinos got rid of the one dollar tables (yes, about 35 years ago).
  19. I've only seen sofa beds and Pullman beds that tilt down from the wall. Which ship has a bed that pulls down from the ceiling?
  20. That was part of the joke. I've often thought that if I have to tell somebody that it was a joke, it must not have been very funny. But, sometimes I wonder.....🤣 But seriously, those port taxes never add up to much of anything (and, contrary to other posters' opinions, I can assure you that I take FULL advantage of every minute of the beverage package).
  21. NCLH is up 2.16% today!! I only follow the price as a goof. I bought the 100 shares at around $16, then it dropped to around $12. Then back up over $17. Now back around $16. That said, I've already taken one cruise with the benefit and have it applied to many more over the next three years. It will be impossible for me to lose on NCLH. 😎
