  1. Of course not. He was making a joke. See my prior post. Why is everybody so darned serious here today?🤣
  2. I wouldn't like it. The DSC has always been part of the "no tipping" policy, and I prefer to keep it that way.
  3. I've obtained many drinks at NCL casino bars with outstanding service. I've never flashed anything and always got what I wanted immediately. What is this "value" that you speak of?
  4. The bolded part is inaccurate. You can pay your DSC just before cruising and still get the lower daily rate that you booked under.
  5. I always receive CC refunds for canceled cruises in about a week. It's almost like clockwork. I don't remember ever cancelling a pre-paid SHOREX.
  6. Do the cards indicate CAS status? I didn't know that.
  7. I have an upcoming AK B2B. Has anybody done a B2B from Seattle recently? Did you have to get off the ship? For how long?
  8. Absolutely. It's unfortunate that none of the responses have been a simple "no." I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
  9. I don't believe that the OP suggested that it was alright. I think she was just asking a question.
  10. Until they run out of sapphire and platinum and have to give them bronze cards.
  11. And probably much more accurate. 😁
  12. Thanks for the great thread. You've got me really looking forward to our next cruise (on the Bliss).😎
  13. I think there is value in having the Orange cards so that crew can understand that this is a person's first time on NCL. Beyond that, it's mostly marketing.
  14. I have. MCT last October. We arrived when they were already boarding group 1. We showed them our Platinum cards and were allowed to immediately board.
  15. No news here, but is this a new communications process? I've only known the splash screen and the email.
  16. NO WAY I would pay that just to have a drink when I finally made it on the ship. 😡 (jk)
  17. I've never met an AK cruise that I didn't feel was a "sweet deal." I generally preach "book early, book often." That may have backfired on me this time. 🤣
  18. Wait a tick. So, if I tell them to hold the liver, they don't charge me the upcharge? Nice!
  19. Yeah, me too. I'll generally start spreading around a few singles and then move to the fives when I've made a new friend or two. IIRC, the young lady on my last cruise noted that I had Bulleit and then Crown and was now skipping the alphabetical order by jumping to Johnnie Walker (Black). So, she was focused on the job and provided our family with outstanding service. 😎
  20. I don't understand any of this. On our last two cruises we've pointed out to the check-in agent that we are Platinum and they haven't even give us a group number "paddle." We boarded prior to group one when they called for Platinum (and above in one case). We didn't have to wait in a "special" area in either terminal.
  21. Show up at 5:15 and there's a good chance you'll be seated in a reasonable timeframe.
