  1. We have it all recorded and started watching the 1st episode but was not in the mood for subtitles that night so didn't finish it. Keep saying we will try again but reluctant due to them. Do all episodes have as many subtitles?
  2. Just shows what a loving person you are having so many thinking positive thoughts for you. Hugs to you and your family 💖💖
  3. I am not sure the bed would fit in the opposite spot. "Vanity/desk" is attached to the wall so not movable and many ships stagger cabins so part of the room is wider to fit the bed. Have you looked at changing cabins? We have had both and there are pros and cons to each. Give it a try maybe you will like it better??
  4. As an FYI there are some things that cannot be handled this way. The beverage package is an example, once you buy for a person you can't buy another so would need to cancel first. Not sure about dining but would assume would be the same for some of the packages.
  5. Yes the dining room will do something if you mention it, most likely won't be a cake but a piece or 2 or a dessert with a candle in it. They will attempt to sing too. Many have special occasions on board you won't be the only ones.
  6. Hoping all goes well with your excision. Just went for my yearly check, all good except dr wants to remove a cyst I have had for over 50 years. Said won't turn cancerous but age could cause it to leak and cause issues, joys of getting old, yuck. Holding off for now.
  7. Both of our houses have popcorn ceilings. Our home in SC had a leak in the roof due to hail damage, insurance covered the roof and ceiling repair. Leak showed in kitchen which is connected to main living and diningbareas. When the insurance adjuster came they said they would pay to have the popcorn removed from the entire area since it was connected, fix the bad spot and re popcorn. We asked do you have to redo it, how about smooth and paint. Insurance agreed, contractor was not happy. Took way too long and very messy. They set off smoke alarm one day due to the dust, yes the central one, that was a fun phone call, no we don't have a fire no need to send anyone, pleas turn off monitoring for today. Bedrooms and sunroof still have popcorn. Have also had to do the wall sanding, one bedroom in our house had flowers painted all over the walls and another sailboats. They looked OK but not the colors I wanted and didn't match anything else. Many hours were spent sanding and repainting.
  8. The earthquake hit in the town next to where we used to live. Sister in law about 30 minutes north said the whole house shook. Called my son just a but west in PA, he's working nights this week so was asleep. Said it woke him up, not an east thing to do. Crazy, all in the area keep safe and watch for aftershocks.
  9. I see the 3 day package for $154.99 pp in my planner. If we do a specialty it will probably just be 1 night so no package for us.
  10. This, can only be done on the phone, not on line. Very easy process.
  11. @dani negreanu sorry to hear you still arent feeling well. Rest up and hopefully you will be over it soon. @Luckynana condolences on the loss of your friend. Never an easy call regardless of circumstances.
  12. And how do you know that? They could have taken an RCL excursion but decided to wander the port area to shop or get something to eat losing track of time. Only those who missed the ship know for sure.
  13. I couldn't finish all of mine. Gave DH parts of a few courses, had to save room for dessert which i also couldnt finish. He said he would have been fine without what I gave him but did eat it. More than enough food for most people. Teo courses were missing pictures. Agree wholeheartedly on the portion sizes. The only downside to the dinner there is no alcoholic drinks, only water and iced tea served with your meal. We did stop for a drink before going as we knew and don't get down that way often so wanted to go to a spot we hadn't been to lately.
  14. For the foodies, we went back to the Culinary Institute for dinner this week. Have done lunch before but first time for dinner. Seven courses for $45 pp, we left stuffed, all wonderful food, lots of great chefs coming up the ranks. Missed pictures of a few courses, too interested in eating, by the time I remembered it wasn't photo worthy. The menu, also included was a lobster soup to start. The only item you needed to pick was dessert, of course we got 1 of each. Lobster soup, went to take a bite before remembering picture, happened more than once Chevre Carrots Surf & Turf Mousse Tart Dining room, we like to sit at the counter and watch the cooks. Great night, looking forward to the next one.
  15. Let me add my question here about the Edge class IV cabins. Many say one of the pros is the king size bed, my question is can they still be split into 2 "twins"? We do this sometimes to help with the snoring, especially when alcoholic drinks are involved.
  16. Was 25 when I got up to this view today. So done with this week. At least the sun is out now and it's mostly melted. My granddaughter says the groundhog lied.
  17. It is the Grand Cascade Lodge in Hamburg, NJ. Beautiful location, lots of activities there as well but oh very pricey. Of course we didn't get to use of it other than the wedding activities which were all in great spots. @HBE4 tagging you as just saw you asked the same.
  18. As most of you heard we had a family wedding this weekend, DHs sisters son, back in NJ. Oh my what an event. Beautiful venue in the mountains, activities galore and only a tad over 200 guests. Will add a few pics below. Unfortunately the weekend was one of emotional highs and lows as his younger sister, not the one who's son was getting married, passed away on Friday morning. Needless to say put a cloud over the wedding for the few of us that knew, kept it quiet for bride and groom's sake until yesterday. Think we are all still in shock, she went to bed Thursday night and didn't wake up Friday, a young 59 with no known health issues. Keep those you love close, nobody knows what tomorrow brings. Now for the fun stuff The venue The ceremony, sun was setting behind them Jim with his mother The late night after party venue. Got my green toes in there One of the professional photos
