In non-suite cabins the TV is almost flush with the wall. Not saying it's impossible, but it would be very difficult to get anything plugged in. There is a remote so I think you could switch the input if you can get it plugged in.

We had it last week and it was not memorable, quite bland in fact. I likely wouldn't get jt again. The polenta at the Dock is considerably better.
-
I've had it, I don't remember it being remarkable or bad either. Sailing in a couple of weeks, if I get an opportunity and remember I will report back.

Did "John Smith" work for Virgin or were they a travel agent? I only know of having a direct contact at Virgin if you have a casino connection.

Virgin Voyages Visa Question
neverendingcruising replied to CruiseWithMilk's topic in Virgin Voyages
The answer to that depends on what country your passport is from and what countries you are visiting. Considering you have a US visa I'm presuming you are sailing out of Miami on a closed loop (returning to Miami). Most of the Caribbean islands are pretty easy going for cruise passengers. If you're concerned, find the entry requirements for each country for your nationality. -
Yep, this seems to new and specific to Miami. You have to talk to a person in the terminal, can't be done in the app. I think in a review here recently someone was complaining about the non-stop announcements for it in the terminal.

I heard on another unnamed site that you can buy bar tabs in Miami at the port before boarding the ship so that might be an option now if you need to wait until last minute on an upgrade bid.

Apparently you have not had the pleasure of using Princess' new app.

A few more questions before we sail
neverendingcruising replied to HesterMofet's topic in Virgin Voyages
The cabana bar tab and the purchased bar tab will be applied to your account when you get on the ship. If you burn through it before you get to your cabana then it's gone. In other words, the $100 isn't going to be held back until you get to your cabana. Same thing goes doe the $300. If you haven't used all of the purchased bar tab it will still apply in the cabana. -
What currency is used in casino on Med Cruises?
neverendingcruising replied to jcarter4551's topic in Virgin Voyages
In all of our sailings the ship has always been US currency. The casino did exchange Euro bank notes for chips when we sailed out of Barcelona but they said they only cash out in US. -
Most Favorite Drinks on the ship?

Never been on Celebrity but I would guess Sip as the closest to a martini bar. -

Godfather at Extra Virgin followed very closely by The Old Sport at Razzle Dazzle. -
A few more questions before we sail

There is no separation of the bar tabs between cabana and something you bought pre-voyage, nor would it matter since it is just dollars towards drinks. On our latest voyage the premium WiFi was $25/day if you bought for the whole voyage or $30 for 24 hours. -
Nothing will replace the original Razzle pasta, but the malfaldine pasta now offered is unbelievably good (and its vegan)

Seafood boil is crawfish, mussels, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and bread rolls. The broth is good and not what I would call spicy, just flavorful.
-
My experience was similar. Much better off with the chilled seafood platter at Wake or the seafood boil at Razzle.

When do remaining dinner reservations become available?
neverendingcruising replied to doconner's topic in Virgin Voyages
RIP the Razzle pasta at RD. 😥 I think they are releasing much more inventory in advance then originally. In Miami rockstars can connect to ship WiFi in the terminal, not sure about other ports. -
Ship Show on Scarlet was replaced with LOL comedy club, haven't seen it but I guess its not great as the comedians repeat their performance from elsewhere on the ship and the quality of comedians can very greatly. Another Rose is by far our favorite with Persephone a close second and then Duel and Untitled. Mind Mangler was terrible, left after 10 minutes. We thought Miss Behave was pretty good (originated in Vegas) but apparently is highly dependent on the cast. I kept falling asleep at Ships in the Night and all I recall is a giant iPhone so need to see that again. Lola's Library was cut down from 3 one hour long segments to a single 90 minute presentation but we did not get to see either version, apparently the single seating has improved the flow greatly.

Still and sparkling water are made and poured onboard, there is no bottled water. Not sure about the others except that I have had loose lead tea from Grounds Club, I think it was called jasmine cloud. Not sure of the brand however.
