  1. Just to add… I already had a cruise booked via the programme for next year and when I booked it my Celebrity Cruise consultant told me to monitor the prices and call up if I see a price drop.

  2. If you have booked though the Future Cruise Promotion that they run whilst on board (when you have 6 months to book a cruise) then yes the UK market is entitled to any price drop before final payment.  This has been confirmed by my Celebrity Cruise consultant that I regularly use and I have just got off the Beyond 2 weeks ago and it was also confirmed by the future cruise team.  The better terms and conditions that you gain by taking this promotion out whilst on board is the greatest benefit for a UK traveller.  Hence I signed up for 2 whilst on the Beyond!

Yep, it is certainly awesome and we too wish we were still on board.

It was only our 2nd post-pandemic cruise, our first Edge Class and the cruise was special.  The demographics of the passengers on Celebrity (did Silhouette in December '23) and on this cruise appear to trend to a good balance of cruise passengers with regard to courtesy, demeanor, respect and consideration (and friendliness). The design of this ship class, especially the significant number of venues and seating arrangements, we believe contributed to social interaction with other couples and groups quite a bit. Met a lot of really decent people, sat together for hours, waved and chatted upon sight around the ship thereafter and welcomed to sit (for lounge social or dining) regularly.

We tried for 3-days during the cruise to get on the ship (stay on the ship) for this week also and nothing opened up at all down at the future cruise desk or online.

My hubby & I from the UK were also on this cruise and I 100% agree it had a fab crowd and we met some wonderful fellow guests.  I love to dance and I met some friends for life on the dance floor 🕺!

Never got a refund from a Nov 1st cancelation.  Celebrity said they processed it and AmEx said they never received it.  Guess I'm out a couple hundred bucks.  Not going to lie- leaves a really bad taste in my mouth a few weeks before our cruise.

I won’t be giving up on mine as it’s well over £1000 due back!

  5. So thinking of putting in a move-up bid, starting price is £80pp from an inside to concierge.  Lots of concierge cabins available 50+, most on deck 12 aft i.e under oceanview cafe.

Anyone out there with experience on an Edge ship in a similar location?  How’s the noise 🪑🥐?!  Thank you 😊

  6. As some of my future cruise drink packages came down in price I cancelled them and re-booked them at the cheaper BF rate 😊, any idea of approx time it takes for the refund to go back on your CC for the original drink packages I bought? Thank you 😊

  7. Being the kind of person that is continually on the look out for cruises I wish they would ditch Black Friday/Cyber Monday as everything that I have been looking at within the Royal Caribbean Group has gone up in price, either by hundreds or thousands!  Even already booked cruise drink packages have gone up!  RCG I wasn’t born yesterday 🤬

  8. Terms & Conditions on mine said book a cruise within 6 months to gain OBC, if this has not been done then you have another 6 months to book (but you receive no OBC), nothing booked within timeframe or if the timeframe expires (1 year) then the deposit you put down was non-refundable.

The above is why I didn’t take up the offer, as it couldn’t be guaranteed that any future cruise I wanted to book (once I got home) was not an ‘exciting deal’ which it cannot be used with.

The future cruise team told me to call the UK sales team from our cabin so I did, they told me that I needed to speak to the future cruise team on-board, I was just going round in circles!

The very small print at the bottom of the flyer that they keep placing in your cabin does say not combinable with ‘exciting deals’ but you won’t know what cruises are exciting deals until you go to book and then you will be told that you can’t receive the OBC!

Do you have the link to the Exciting Deals please?

Sorry no, the future cruise team showed me on their computer when costing the cruise I was interested in that it was an ‘Exciting Deal’ (and their OBC offer was not able to be used with this).  To be fair the cruise I was looking at wasn’t what I would class as an amazing price either.

So you can buy into this offer and then not be able to use it when you get home?!

  10. Just to add to this - I have just got off the Apex 2 days ago, I went to take up the OBC offer from the future cruise team only to find the cruise I was interested in was under ‘exciting deals’ so it was not eligible for the OBC.

So be aware that if you pay your deposit, then go home and find a cruise in the next 6 months, the cruise you find may not be eligible for the OBC that you paid your deposit for on board!  This was confirmed by the future cruise manager.

Once you have checked in and have your sea pass you are free to come and go even if its day 2. We embarked on day 2 and could have gone back ashore but wanted to settle in, explore the ship and get the muster out of the way. If you come out a day early, either stay in Dubai or embark that day so day 2 is free to explore Dubai. As we boarded day 2, we had a day in Dubai at the end of the cruise instead.

Great, thank you for the information

  12. Hi 👋

Looking at booking a cruise from Dubai in January 2024, you embark on Saturday (day 1) and Sunday (day 2) the ship is scheduled to leave at 23.59 (overnight stay in Dubai).

Please could someone tell me how their embarkation process works i.e. can you just come and go as you please once you have checked-in on day 1?

On day 2 can you just leave the ship in the morning, then there is an all on board time in the evening?

Just wondering how it all works as I can’t find this detail on the Costa website 😊

    many thanks

  13. So over the past few weeks I have been tracking a few cruises, I have noticed that this week there seems to have been a price hike in the all-included element.

Previously most of the cruises that I was tracking the all-included was around £40pppn for all ship classes holidaying in the Caribbean Jan-Apr 2024.  Now adding this can be anything from £36pppn to £80pppn?!

  14. Just a couple of comments to some of your posts -

    • if we had confronted the person and they turned nasty wouldn’t Royal have said we should have reported it to them and not taken matters into our own hands?

    • after reporting it to an Officer and nothing being done taking them photo evidence seem to be the only way of getting some resolution so we could then enjoy our balcony

    • after Roybthered posted he experienced the same on his holiday, this goes to show this wasn’t an isolated incident of how they deal with confrontation.

Take this post as a heads up that when you book & cruise on Oasis just be prepared for this kind of reaction when you report an issue on your holiday

  15. Thank you for your support 😊 has made me feel like I wasn’t making something out of nothing like RCI have made me feel.

So in future we now know we need to make a full complaint on the ship and spend more of our time at Guest Services rather then enjoying our holiday and sorting it out when we return!!

Like I have said to them there was clear avoidance of confrontation demonstrated by staff on board.

  16. On our recent Oasis cruise we had issues with the continual smell of weed, which we reported to a Senior Officer who agreed he could smell it, he then went on to do nothing about it.  I eventually found the culprit, we followed it up by queuing at Customer Relations desk, supplying photos etc

Not only did the above take time out of our holiday but our holiday was also impacted with not being able to enjoy and use our balcony even though we had reported it.

Upon complaining on our return RCI have said they are no longer going to speak to us with regard to the matter,

Disappointingly this has confirmed I am no longer a customer but I am a consumer.

Anyone else had the RCI Executive Team refuse to take your complaint further?
