  1. As far as I understand it is adult only and kind of secluded but that’s to be determined lol
  2. Has anyone been to the retreat pool on Discovery Princess ? Is it hard to get chairs and usually very busy ? any suggestions ? We hope to check it out next week 🙌🏻🙌🏻
  3. Is it in all the dining rooms that night ? also is that formal night and if so is it mandatory that men have formal wear like suit jackets etc ?? thanks
  4. Does anyone know what nights the discovery princess serves steak and lobster in the main dining room ? I know it’s available at the crown grill but is there a complimentary steak and lobster meal at all during the Mexican riviera itinerary ? thanks
  5. Wow that’s a new one 🤦‍♀️
  6. Sometimes I have heard that people use the chairs with “stuff” on them until people show up - they could be open for hours which is very common !!
  7. That’s my understanding as well and it saves trying to line up and reserve spots in the sanctuary ( although it does sound very nice )
  8. We have the premier pkg and I understand we have reserved seating in the theatre ?! how far in advance should we go to the shows if we have this benefit ? Also how do we show that we have premier ( using medallion I’m guessing ) but who looks at it or ? show recommendations ?? thanks !!
  9. I was wondering where the pools are for adults only on the discovery ? I was sure I read somewhere about booking full day or half days for an area for adults but can’t seem to find it again - where do we make the booking and what is the charge ? we have premium plus package if that makes any difference ?! thanks in advance
  10. Or is a ticket required if they announce passengers can go directly to tender ??
  11. I where do we pick up tickets for tendering - I don’t remember having to have a ticket to tender however we haven’t been on a cruise that has had a tender port for quite sometime as we try to avoid them lol
  12. We are going to be on the Discovery Princess from Feb 3 -10 . we would like to go to port in Cabo - what time would be a good time to catch the tender to avoid the long lines of passengers boarding the tenders leaving the ship (we are supposed to arrive at noon I believe ?)
  13. I think doing our own personalized tour sounds more appealing and we can do it on our own time !! has anyone booked white water rafting or glacier dog sled tours ? any info would be nice ! thanks
  14. We are interested in doing an Alaskan southbound cruise and we are debating on going on a pre cruise tour for 5 - 7 days ? does anyone have any experience with this pre cruise tour with ncl jewel ? any info or suggestions would be appreciated !
  15. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations near Los Angelos world cruise Center prior to Mexican riviera cruise ? not sure where to post this ?
  16. Is there entertainment ever night in the theatre on the discovery princess ? Are there two shows nightly ?
  17. We are interested in a Panama Canal cruise on the Ruby princess and would like to know their dress code for dining ?! we usually cruise ncl and prefer casual dining experience !! any information would be greatly appreciated 🙂
  18. Can anyone tell me about the dress code for dining on the Ruby Princess ? thanks in advance !
  19. We just got off the epic and had a great time the embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth for us - we boarded around 2:00 pm and disembarked by 9:00 - we took our own luggage ! im not going to lie - the ship was busy but you should know that’s what it’s going to be like with 4000 passengers ! line ups at the buffet we’re busiest at breakfast so some days we went to the taste dining room or just at at the outside buffet near pool - no big deal ! as for port days we found that if you could wait about an hour to get off the ship then it went quickly but if you went asap then you were in a long long line up - we only did that once ! ( our excursions were just picked up when we got to port so we had that flexibility) we were happy with our inside cabin ( first time for inside ) the bathroom configuration worked well for us not sure why so many complain about it 🤷‍♀️ loved the itinerary and the ports were gorgeous ! enjoy the epic !
  20. We just got off the epic and we had a great time - it was crowded at times but we are on vacation so just chill out and enjoy ! the room configuration is not big deal - in fact if one wanted to shower and other needed to use the bathroom then it worked perfectly ! im surprised how needy some people can be - sometimes I think we have to step back and think how lucky we are to have good health and be able to enjoy a cruise with family and friends - not everyone in the world will ever get that opportunity! let’s just be thankful for a change 🙂
  21. Just got off the epic - it was a our first time on a larger ship and we did find it very busy in buffet and getting drinks at the pool bar etc - we were a little disappointed in the lack of entertainment in the main theatre - we saw the Beatles in there one night / Burn the ground ( which we reserved when we boarded ) and a female singer. We preferred ships that had a different show every night in the main theatre but maybe that’s a thing of the past with cut backs etc ! we booked an inside cabin for our first time since there was a large group of us and we always gathered elsewhere so didn’t spend much time in the cabin - we were pleasantly surprised with the inside cabin and the bathroom configuration was no problem at all - not sure what the big deal is for people that mention this ?? the itinerary definitely was the main attraction for the epic but I would recommend her if the itinerary is perfect for you !!
