  1. Well, if it wasn't a mistake and it is SOP now to put skim milk in an container labeled half and half, "lie" wouldn't have been the word I'd use, but I wouldn't argue against it.
  2. I wouldn't have thought that to be productive. The higher ups will be in Glad Hand and Then Move On mode. I'd expect an answer like, "I'll look into that." There are too many people on the cruise to let each button-hole the president. Maybe some people might get lucky.
  3. But, that is the question, is it really a mistake? There are lots of reports of this happening, and this is the President's Cruise when you'd think they've have their act together.
  4. I have really long hair. I always need two big towels since I need one for my hair. I would not be happy if they expect me to use just one towel per shower. If the towels aren't that big, I'll need three. At hotels, they always seem to leave the cart in the hall and I snag a bunch of towels there. I can understand people not wanting towels and trash in the hallway. I hadn't thought that would be a problem, but then we went to Orlando several times while the hotels were ramping back after the lockdown. Pre-lockdown, the hallway might have been one room service tray every 50', and that wasn't a problem. But, post-lockdown you had to walk like a drunk weaving between the piles of trash, dirty dishes, and dirty towels, and you had to pay close attention to the stuff to avoid it. So, I wouldn't really want to see that on a cruise. But, on the other hand, that should be easy on the staff to do frequent hallway sweeps for stuff. Speaking of towels, we will be bringing two teen girls. Enough said.
  5. My DH likes half-and-half for tea, and gets grumpy if it isn't available. I guess I'll have to add it to our pack list. I wonder if that will count against our non-alcoholic beverage allotment? We'll have a soft cooler for DD's medicine, so we can keep it cool.
  6. But they do use Waitlisting for the dining selection. I guess you are saying that they probably overbook each dining slot by the same percentage. I am one of those early-to-bed people, so not having early dining would ruin the cruise, seriously. Late dining starts about when I got to bed. And it would be stressful wondering what the MTD dining situation would be each night for the 8 of us. I've seen photos of friends in the MDR where there were too many people at the table because an extra chair or two were added. Like our friends in a group of 7 and the table was much smaller than the one for 8 next to them.
  7. I'm with the OP. Wouldn't the PRESIDENT'S CRUISE be when they'd do things right? Makes me think that this is SOP now.
  8. Disney's IT is considered to be pretty crappy. But, even they have the ability to blindly link people's accounts. So, for example, you can make a dining reservation with the other person as the lead, but you couldn't see they had Magic Kingdom reservations, for example.
  9. That would be a nightmare. Early dining is around when we normally eat anyway. Plus we will be a table of 8 including 4 teen girls. (This is dismay, not disbelief) How can they do that? If someone is confirmed for a certain dining slot they should stay confirmed for that slot, and they shouldn't confirm more people than a slot can hold.
  10. I confused things by writing MDR, when I was thinking MTD. This should make more sense. Are there special MTD waiters? How does that work for MTD now.
  11. Are there special MDR waiters? How does that work for MDR now.
  12. One thing I don't understand. For early dining, there is a limited window in which you can show up and claim your table. Say the early dining is at 5:30pm, then any empty seats at 6pm could be used for MTD. Is the problem that people would be bothered by tablemates being out of sync? Even if they only used empty tables for MTD seems like some people could be seated at 6pm. I can even understand saying the MTD reservations can't start until when the early diners start to clear out.
  13. I would do the TA. Not because I don't think two weeks in Orlando wouldn't be nice. In fact, we spent so much time there the last three years that I instituted a NO FLORIDA until Epic opens. Either way, I'd get a VRBO and Universal season passes.
  14. Might not be true of all AI Resorts, but one of the things I didn't like was that the liquor was watered down
  15. Is there more than maybe one person that says that? Likelier reason is that they can have fewer people in the kitchen if they can start plating dinner Imediately after lunch.
  16. Note to self. Never get a balcony on one of those cruise lines
  17. And really if they told the size and it was 1L, I'd probably get it. But the idea of getting 12 small, and then no room to fuss makes me not buy it.
  18. Present to my family to eat immediately after the class.
  19. These are my notes taken from here on using the app messaging. By unpredictable, they meant notifications of messages. MESSAGING: The Royal app chat feature has been unpredictable for many. Sometimes you will get notifications right away and other times you will not get anything until you check manually. One theory is that a device operating system, ios or android for example, doesn't recognize that Royal is a chat app like the well known chat apps so when the app has been idled it's put to sleep to save battery. The Royal app doesn't know it's been put to sleep by the os. So, make the Royal App excluded from battery saver. Another issue could manifest in the way that devices are constantly checking to see if they have an active connection to a cloud service. Apple devices check to see if they can reach iCloud for example, android tries to reach google, etc. If they can't reach their cloud they determine there is no internet so they disable some communication to save battery, only allowing communication to try every so often. Message app shows who is online. I messaged an online party and they got msg and we conversed. Red bubbles will indicate a msg has been received, no IOS notification.
  20. If they are truly getting so many requests that they can't all be fulfilled, the proper response would be to say something like either, "We apologize, we are unable to fulfill your request. We will continue to try as other guests make changes." or "We have fulfilled your request" They could even establish a hierarchy with suites first then C&A status. I say this as someone going on our first cruise and interior. A program to do that would be less difficult than some homework in my Freshman-level weed-out programming class.
  21. Lots of egg dishes can't be made from the carton.
  22. This should answer your first question:
  23. Was it possible to swap out some of your ingredients with a central pool of stuff? We make sushi at home, so I'd just be doing it as a Fun Thing To Do rather than as a learning experience.
  24. I recently started a thread on this. I'd worried the no substitutions rule with the new menu would cause a problem. But, people responded that it was fine. You'll want to tell them ahead of time with the Special Needs form. People said that you'd order for the next day so that they can prepare your meal.
  25. Here is the map for the Coco cay waterpark. Where that map is located https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/perfect-day-cococay-map Daredevils Peak is supposed to be super-duper tall, otherwise that looks *meh*. You can compare that with your local water park. Since you mention Florida, Universal's Volcano Bay includes a fast river and a water coaster both of are game-changers compared to the standard water slides. It still has the standard lazy river and wave pool. While it is true that CocoCay is the only option that day. Most people would have the option to go to another water park on another day and do it up right.
