  1. Incorrect because I was on that sailing with them and was physically on their balcony. I don’t care about your status on the ships- you’re no better than the people who wear their pinnacle pins around the ship with their nose in the air. I’m allowed to ask a question without it being a “omg she’s complaining and entitled” there was literal rust dripping off of the pole, I personally think it’s gross as do others here. You disagree. Move on.
  2. He is so overworked we barely see him unfortunately- we noticed the mold yesterday, and haven’t seen him today. If I do I will let him know, otherwise I will be sending an email as it’s just a bit too crazy on the ship for me to wait in a line past the “corralled” line. Like I said above I’m not looking for anything other than to compare information and I’ll try my best to inform. You are right though, if nothing is said it won’t be fixed. Thank you for that! I don’t care about my sailing but for the next people and the long term maintenance of the ship I think that amount of rust is important!
  3. BTW my parents had a balcony on the Encore and had nothing of the sorts
  4. Seems like you’re just picking a fight- I’ve seen you on here a bunch and I don’t know if you read anything other than the original post but I’m not reporting to the desk. I’ve cruised NCL 7 times and have never seen this level of rust/ issues and was just curious if this is how Royal is. It did not “ruin my cruise” or cause major issues. I just find it surprising that this is the status of my room. I’m allowed to ask a question on here and gather more information. I didn’t report to the desk as it’s just a zoo down there and I really don’t think there’s an issue politely informing the guest services if I did. no where did I demand that they’d “paint my balcony” or anything of the sort. You’re ridiculous for jumping to that conclusion that I’d request that or demand it. There’s hundreds of balconies on this ship- as there are on others but this one was just covered in rust and chipped paint, giving them a notice that this room might need some extra TLC before the next cruise is not an issue. Not everyone is starting a hellfire, and I most certainly am not for asking about this.
  5. Painting while sailing no- we did have “balcony maintenance” on our cruise but none of these issues were fixed. I don’t want to cause harm to my room steward but it’s pretty gnarly! I don’t think rust and paint is his fault though and the mold looks new. Guest Services line is crazy so I might just send an email. I’m not looking for credit or anything just would like to provide my feedback to them
  6. It’s our last day- so I don’t want to harm our room attendant I don’t believe all of this is on him, I’ll try and separate the two but it’s pretty beat up. Thank you for the feedback!
  7. Hi all- I wanted to preface this by saying we had a fantastic time with the staff and loved our room on QOTS, but we did notice some things I’d consider “gross” in our balcony room. We usually cruise NCL and have never had issues like this on our balcony so just wanted to put some feelers out there on if this is “normal” or not 1- rust everywhere, not painted or maintained 2- chipped paint on the walls and ceiling 3- mold in the shower 4- our chairs are zip tied in the laying back position, you can’t sit up and then we realized it’s because they’re broken 5- there’s a weird yellow stain on the bathroom floor? In multiple places I’m not looking for anything other than feedback or if this is worth bringing up to the front desk.
  8. A lot of people on that sailing were pretty mad- we embark from Copenhagen leaving this Saturday so we’re pretty excited. We have a full day there! I haven’t received an itinerary change just yet- but they received theirs 3 days prior to sailing so I guess anything can happen. Like I said- we’re excited no matter what!
  9. Interesting, I know there's a lot of issues/crowding in Europe right now as well with civil unrest and the Olympics. It's crazy to me how insane it's going to be! I just want to make sure the ship is okay. It's kind of crazy for the people who leave today for the 6th cruise were just notified of these changes so last minute!
  10. Of course! 07/06 Cruise had Germany, Norway and Sweden Cancelled, its on the NCL Dawn info page on FB official information from NCL. Germany was replaced with another Germany port. This sailing had been removed from the website. Their cruise is now porting 2 days in Copenhagen to end their cruise, which is their debarkation port. This is also removed from the website. 07/15 My cruise is off of NCL's website, originally had a overnight in Hamburg, that was cut and now we go to Warner Munde not an overnight. We were supposed to port in Amsterdam and now port in Ijmuiden. (minor changes) we lost the port of Kristiansand to a sea day. And now as of last night my cruise is not on NCL's website. 08/26 This one I know the least about, I had just seen a comment stating Oslo was cancelled and they also had a overnight in Copenhagen added. Does this answer all your questions? I can try and add screenshots but I don't want to break the rules!
  11. Hi all, My family and I are cruising on the Dawn embarking on 07/15. I have kept an eye on the itineraries and the past few cruises and at this point I feel like our entire cruise could be swapped around. I am actually probably one of the most flexible people in regards to this, I am just excited to be on a cruise but now I am a bit concerned with the ship. The current sailing had cancellations, the one on the 07/06 and 07/26 lost Norway and Sweden and the Dawn is camping out overnight in Copenhagen and ending their sailing portion of the cruise early. This seems to be happening quite frequently on the Dawn and my point of this post is speculation- why? She is camping out for overnights a lot with these changes, we also lost a few ports a few times with the changes that keep happening. I also believe at this point there will be more because our sailing was ripped off of NCL's website. Do we think she is having propulsion issues and cannot get to all of these ports on time? Why end a cruise early unless something needs to be fixed? Or is this the famous "bait and switch" everyone says that keeps happening with the Dawn. I know she just went into dry dock, but is something else going on? What do you think?
  12. Worst case scenario is I cancel my original booking and just rebook. A little annoying luckily I don’t pay until the final payment is due
  13. Still a great deal! Depending on the sailing that is. Fingers crossed one comes around on NCL or RC
  14. I’d love a free cruise either way on either line! Holding onto my points and my fiancée’s! As for the “new booking” I think if my final payment isn’t made they can just refare the cruise or cancel and rebook. I haven’t made any payments on it, just put the deposit CruiseFirst on. Which I also believe is combinable with the pop slots coupon.
  15. Thank you! This is helpful- $20/day doesn’t bug us. I appreciate you responding!
  16. Hi there, I am kind of new to myVEGAS. I was curious how often there are free cruises versus the dollar off. Is there a time that the deals are better than others? I’m perfectly fine with waiting! I’m also curious if I already have a cruise booked, but the final payment is not made. Can I add the coupon to that reservation? Would my consultant lose the booking to CAS? Thank you!
  17. Hi all, we booked a cruise on the Dawn this July and have BOGO flights. Love our flights, but we are noticing there will most likely be a price drop for this cruise. curious on how the price drop with BOGO flights work? My PCC says we can request a price drop adjustment 30 days prior, which id be okay with but just want to make sure since I have flights I know the price drops can get tricky
  18. Ah I see. You were warning me about YOUR advice. No one says your chances are 100% or not. I’ve been on 3 cruises bid for 2 and got one. At minimum bid. The chances are dependent on how full cruise is for each category state room. This is a really negative outlook on the situation?
  19. None of this sounds inaccurate and is in line with other cruisers? Not sure what your comment is about but please be kind to others
  20. Lovely! Thank you so much for this information. I’ll be keeping my eye out for the email the next few days 🙂 I think the chances of needing “cheap” rooms is high. This sailing is $4000+ pp on a balcony right now. Wild!
  21. This is awesome thank you. Nothing yet- may be too soon.
  22. There’s actually plenty of other sailings this time frame that are on newer ships and cheaper. Not sure why the Dawn is so expensive but I’m pretty sure $4000+ PP balconies will lose out to other sailings first. I’m hopeful! my last cruise we were in a balcony- and prior we won an upgrade for a ocean view. Would be happy with either! Upgrades are exciting and risky which I like. thanks for the tips!
  23. Hi there, Just wondering when we can expect a notification for an upgrade. I have been lucky before and this seems like it might be a good opportunity. Sailing the Dawn this summer on the 15th. Just passed final payment and checked the site. There are about 50+ balconies and 15 Club available for this sailing at $4000/PP starting. With this in mind, we booked with a coupon and got this sailing for 1400 PP in a inside room. So if we snag a balcony even for $400PP it'd be a great deal. I remember on other cruises we received the invite close to final payment. Is there a average timeframe for us to be expecting this invite?
  24. If you have flights with NCL you can only get FCC up to 110 days before the cruise I believe. Otherwise- it's most likely an issue with your TA
