I've been to both of them. If you have children you may prefer Darkwood Beach. Last few times I've been by there they had a water park thing for children. You can Google it. Dickinson is right down the bay, it's a great beach all those beaches are. My personal preference is Turners same Bay but at the very end. Nice beach bar, nice bathrooms great beach, BUT a little drop off and so is Dickinson. I don't ever remember a drop off at Darkwood it changes though. Yes it shouldn't answer all the chair and umbrella questions. The last time I was on Magens Bay, they had some chairs and maybe some umbrellas but not like what's in your photos. I was so focused on getting to the far end of the bay I really wasn't paying a whole lot of attention but that wasn't there, several times. I would have seen those and did not. Looks great, I'm still going about 80% of the way down the bay and dropping my backpack cooler my beach towel and having a time. They need to charge cruiser's more to get on Magens exactly like they're doing on all the other beaches in the Caribbean. $5? Seems unacceptable, I'm not sure how that math adds up. Cruisers can afford it, if they can't then they can stay on ship, drink Shirley Temples and Diet Coke. $10 just for starters admittance to Magens for cruisers. How nice would that be. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I know exactly where it is. Walk out of port security, go right and keep walking, walk over the bridge about a mile or so. Easy nice walk. The sign will be on your LEFT. Can't miss it. Very easy to find, I wasn't looking for it and found it.

When I to go back to Magens Bay, the "restaurant and bar" are no longer an issue for me and I'm a big beach bar person. Exactly, a bag of ice, 3-6 packs of Stella, backpack cooler, keep walking down the beach and keep walking. Yep, keep walking and don't look back.😎

Ms411 who have you used and who would you recommend for an island tour? I've always been with our CC group or been my own tour guide on St. Thomas. I was thinking about on my next visit to do an island tour in the morning, get dropped off at Magens in the afternoon and spend the rest of my day on the beach. I would even do a whole day tour if it was all-inclusive. Any suggestions on a nice guided tour of St. Thomas? Thanks Todd
