  1. Hey PORT ROYAL, Why don't you give her the information you have on Lawrence. Lawrence is always a winner. Thanks Todd
  2. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the location you are talking about. Maybe someone else here in the forum can help you. The public buses go pretty much anywhere you need to go though. Aruba has great public transportation. It's what's so nice about the island you can pretty much go anywhere you want comfortable and cheap.
  3. Hey PORT ROYAL, That link you provided mystkittstouristinfo, that's nice and current!! For anybody visiting St. Kitts including myself the link you provided is all anyone needs to have a great day on the island. Thanks Todd
  4. There are no umbrella rentals on Trunk Bay. I've never seen any. The white shade sun tents Ms411 has mentioned YES I saw those all the time, but not your typical umbrella that you see on other beaches. The little white half tents those things are SWEET. The sun on St. John is different a small sun tent to crawl into is huge. They fold up into nothing and take less that a minute or so to set up. I don't know if they rent them or not a couple from the group I went to Trunk Bay with they brought they're own. Smart!!
  5. Here's the deal I've been riding in the back of some type of taxi on St. Thomas for almost 30 years. Other than riding in the back of a safari van I travel solo and ride shotgun with alot of taxi drivers. The taxi drivers at Havensight and Crown Bay never a problem, always find me a ride, are polite, cordial and always there to help. Reliable, very fair priced transportation via taxi's on St. Thomas or St. John never a worry.
  6. That's a deal I would have taken the mini bus too for $10 a pop and they pick you up. If you happen to run into something like that and that happens alot on Aruba $10 mini bus round trip, you can't pass that up.πŸ‘ŒπŸ€œπŸ€›
  7. You figuring it out now??😜

    Beach with bar

You may have looked at the wrong pictures. There is a bar with bar stools. I travel solo I never sit at a table I sit at the bar.
  9. If 4pm is the time your ship disembarks St. Lucia 3:30 is tight and leaves little margin for any type of error. I've never done Spencer's Land and Sea Tour but I have done his Jalousie Beach Break a couple of times yep we got back around 3:30-3:45pm-ish but our ship the Emerald Princess didn't leave until 5pm. Gave us plenty of time to hit the beer garden at the pier before getting back on the ship. 4pm I would definitely have it worked out ahead of time with Spencer.
  10. In the Caribbean and on St. Thomas the key is the right cooler. I have several that will suffice but I'm still looking for the exact one I want I think I found it. There's a liquor store at the Crown Bay Marina, sells everything. There's a liquor store at Havensight, I've bought beer here many times it's the first thing I do when I get off the ship is grab a couple of brewskis and work the cobwebs out from the previous evening on the ship. If you go in town you can stop in Riise and get liquor too. No shortage of places to get something to drink whatever it may be. Nope it's not easy but it certainly beats the hell out of driving around in the back of a taxi or sitting down at the end of Magens or Trunk Bay dying of thirst with nothing to drink and a half a mile walk to get something to drink in 85 degrees heat and relentless sunshine. There are a few islands I won't go back too unless I carry some type of small cooler with me. For me I'm done worrying about where I'm going to find something to drink in the Caribbean altogether.

    Beach with bar

Eagle Beach has a wonderful beach bar Passions at the Beach. One of my favorite bars in the Southern Caribbean. Go have fun. Passions has one of the best lunches on the beach in the Caribbean. Read this, the Aruba forum, you'll figure it out. Grilled Chicken Panini Sandwich with goat cheese and seasoned fries, an all time favorite. Extensive Beer and top shelf alcohol selection. πŸ€œπŸ€›
  12. You had Cinnamon Bay all to yourself that's HUGE!! Pics are Awesome!! Thanks.
  13. AWESOME Info!!! Thank you so much. Trunk Bay was packed, I bet, it's that time of year. Especially around the holidays. This is where bringing your own beer in a softsided cooler is key. Thanks Ms411 KILLER PICS!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  14. Eagle Beach🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  15. Hey PORT ROYAL, You didn't by chance see all that sugar cane that's being grown to make all that rhum did you? The drive up into DePaz there's sugar cane everywhere blowing in the wind. I didn't know what it was Christelle told us. When I think of sugar I don't think of like green bamboo grass being grown on the side of a magnificent volcano. I think of a yellow 5 lb. bag of Domino sugar that you put in your ice tea or put on a bowl of cereal, that I bought at Walmart.πŸ˜•
  16. It all depends on whether or not the French are mad at us😁or not. Same ol song and dance. If we "the US" are getting along with the French government, Martinique accepts the US but very unreluctantly. If we're not getting along with the French keep it simple save yourself the BS and go get yourself some Euros. It's as simple as that.
  17. PORT ROYAL, I love rhum tastings!! I went to one at the DePaz Distillery several years ago. Martinique has great Rhum, it tastes as good as it looks. Yummy!!! PORT ROYAL we need to hang out on Martinique together spend our day with Christelle of Karambola Tours and sip rhum all day, all different kinds. No kidding that rhum is so sugary it almost has a syrup consistency, SO YUMMY!!! I always wondered how they came up with all those beautiful different colored rhums. They certainly are enticing and taste lovely. What a treat.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  18. Great post!! Absolutely true, both of them suck. As one of my CC pals has stated previously. If one plans to spend their day on Barbados with S.H.T. and T'erds go for it.(Thanks PORT ROYAL!!) Go hop on a cat. sail for the day too many other nice tours to take than to sit sardine canned on Carlisle Beach at the Boatyard with a ton and I mean a TON of S.H.T. and another 500 T'erds. Barbados is AWESOME and so is PORT ROYAL!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  19. I love food truck food!! We've discussed this before in my case I'll never go back to Magens Bay without my own softsided cooler full of my own beer. I'll take my own trash bag and haul the empty's out on the way back to the ship. BYOB at Magens saves ALOT of hassle all the way around. You can walk down the beach keep walking set your junk down, don't have to worry about walking all the way back to the bar and getting another beer. Never again will I plan any trip to a beach wherever it may be without bringing my own softsided cooler with my own beer. Oh yeah I almost forgot a 6-pack on a beach in the Caribbean just piss ya off. I highly recommend 3, 6-packs. 1, 6-pack is just for the ride down into Magens in a Safari VanπŸ₯΄πŸ˜². Trust me your going to need it. The other 2, 6 packs are for your day on the beach. Softsided backpack cooler.😎🌟🌟🌟🌟😎 Twist up a couple of tree limbs. Sit down on the end of Magens and live life like it was meant to be lived. Thanks Ms411 for the heads up.
  20. Welcome to the party......or lack thereof. The "beer situation" as you put it has been TERRIBLE for the last 10+ years down there. Until the new concessions open up forget about the "beer situation" and do exactly the same thing I've done on my last several visits to Magens Bay BYOB. In the V.I's, you do things when you can do things, timing really doesn't play into the equation. In your case who cares, your going to St. Thomas. Take a taxi to Sapphire Beach or Secret Harbor and forget about it. Lotsa nice Beaches on STT and STJ. No worries. 🌟🌟🌟🌟😎
  21. Try Shorexcursioneer or Resorts for a Day. I booked Goff's Caye twice with Resorts for a Day. No problemo. Have fun.
  22. Our prayers are being answered!! Thank Ms411 for the update. It's very ironic that I have been very critical of the food service(concessions) or lack thereof at Magens Bay for years. Now they are finally doing something about it. So happy to hear and very happy for the future of Magens Bay. Bad timing, 100% V.I. way every timeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ you guys aren't even close when it comes to timing down there!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. You all will kill each other to screw it up!! You just have to do it and get it done and take it from there. It's all good it's St.Thomas. Thanks for the update. Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
