  1. Last summer I took a train to Venice from Trieste after a cruise, but got off at the station before going to the island. I had a hotel there in the calmness. Stayed 1 night there, enjoyed Venice (got there by cheap bus). Next early morning I got a cheap bus from there to the airport. This option is economical and less stressful.
  2. There are flixbuses for 20 dollar from Trieste to VCE airport. They take 2 hours. Train takes over 3 hours and often delayed and you need to take a bus to the airport from Venice. Make sure you don't get any morning flights it you plan to stay in Trieste.
  3. My advice: don't do it. Stay a day or two in Venice. It will take some considerable time to get from Trieste to Venice.
  4. Unless you provide us a breakdown of the price this is just speculation. My two bookings with my Vegas ended up exactly as I expected: only taxes and FAS gratuities.
  5. Oh in that case, my preference would be Italy Greece. I did both because I am European and I think Italy Greece is more sophisticated than Spain and France for cruise itineraries. However both are huge ships and I would also prefer smaller ship. Are those available for your dates?
  6. The Reservations department of my Vegas has always assured me I can use the CAS line. Just use it and appear confident lol
  7. That's already the case for the "free cruises". Just not for credit off cruise.
  8. I got the 1000$ off European cruise just in time I see... It's already gone🤭
  9. Ncl Europe has FAS sales, making FAS cheaper in Europe than in US. It's very interesting!
  10. Did you book from European site? I have painfully found out myself that the European site does not have ANY fully refundable options.
  11. Maybe that's the age, I don't think the average person passes out in a plane lol
  12. Couldn't hurt to talk to your pcc. Transferring amenities from one cruise to another is not ncl"s specialty.
  13. I always receive the normal value. Travelling on inside cabins that are never 200%.
  14. Yea. Luckily I have booked my B2B Alaska cruises already with coupons from last months 😁
  15. Totally not worth it as comp is not including taxes. Just get a 750 off and pay the same as a comp cruise probably haha.
  16. No Starlink. Internet was not really fast.
  17. So instead of being hostile, who knows, maybe terms are different between countries as another person stated here.
  18. It is true. I experienced it myself last December and I specifically asked about it as well.
  19. If you originally booked inside and buy the bid upgrade to balcony you will not get an extra specialty dining which balcony cabins are entitled to.
  20. I was on the dawn last December in Dubai. I really liked the ship because it's small! I liked going to the same bar every night talking to the same bartender and same guests. I didn't visit any show so I can't talk on that. I did FAS plus, mainly for extra dining and some nicer cocktails and Starbucks. I felt it was worth it, as a solo traveller. Can't speak for duo traveller because you get the extra excursion credit. If you are not into big ships like me, you shall enjoy! (Why did I book ncl epic for winter 2025 lol)
  21. Just use your international plan at port, and in the evening use your free at sea wifi credits if necessary. At sea day: throw phone in the sea and enjoy the sun 🙂
  22. I'm 28 and cruised 8 times solo already. I love my freedom and my choice of when to meet new people. I also like getting to know the crew at bars etc. Last cruise was in middle east on the dawn and it was fantastic.
  23. Shuttle to Ravenna center was crowded so much that you had to wait for hours in burning sun. Take a1 min ferry and then local bus. Ravenna itself is nice. Doing a day trip from Ravenna port to Venice is ridiculous, will cost you hours and hours of traveling. My ITIN ended in Ravenna. Used bologna as departure airport. Bologna is doable, trains often get a delay so don't make your time plan tight.
