  1. I would follow up a few days prior to the final payment date, if it still shows a balance via Royal Caribbean then contact BOA who handles the RCI Visa cards to clear it up. If all else fails just pay it off and save the points for a future cruise as they don't expire immediately.
  2. In four years time all four Vision Class ships will be at the 30 year mark, in ten years time time the same can be said for the five Voyager Class and four Radiance Class ships so although this new class won't be as small as the Vision Class they need to start building replacement ships in the next few years.
  3. No update for my November cruise on Symphony…might end up having 4 days at sea I’m thinking…
  4. I haven’t done one yet but when I do it will be a fall one that starts in Europe as you gain an hour each day vs lose an hour. I’d also prefer to get the flight out of the way on the front end of the trip vs the back end.
  5. I’m thinking it was a typo…at least thats what I got after reading the original post a few times lol
  6. If the kids want waterslides then unfortunately they won't get those on Allure. If it were any other Oasis Class ship then it wouldn't be an issue. Since you've already been on Allure I'd say give Liberty a try. It's not like it's a Vision Class ship, there is plenty for the kids to do on there and adults as well.
  7. The thing is Royal has the large ship portion of their fleet down between the 6 Oasis (7 by 2028) and one Icon (3 by 2026). Everyone else is playing catch up, now Royal can replace the Vision/Radiance/Voyager class with a state-of-the-art Class with what they know works and doesn't work from their existing fleet. Will they have ice skating rinks, aqua show theaters and Central Park? Given the rumored size of the new ships probably not but they will most likely have very nice solariums, perhaps a scaled-down sports plex and Two70 similar to Quantum Class as well as some favorite venues that are lacking on Vision/Radiance Class like Playmakers, Lime & Coconut poolside, El Loco Fresh, etc... Those things alone would make for a great ship, at least in my opinion. All we can do until they announce this damn thing is continue to speculate!
  8. Does it make a difference that the new Royal Class will be much, much smaller than the new Carnival Class with regards to time of build?
  9. Word of Project Discovery first came about over a year and a half ago at this point so I would think they are almost done with the design aspect of the new class. They probably have agreements in place with a shipyard that will handle construction but they are keeping hush hush on it. What is going on at Meyer Turku once Icon III is complete? Perhaps it isn’t out of the realm of possibility the first Discovery (or whatever it will be called) Class ship to come out in 2027?
  10. Thanks for your help everyone. The train from Anchorage to Seward has been sold out for awhile now as I looked prior to my final payment was due otherwise we would have been all over that. We'll get our train-fix in doing the Skagway excursion as I heard that is quite the long train ride...
  11. Liberty should be heading over the first week of April as her last cruise gets back to Fort Lauderdale 4/3/26 then has nothing posted for the remainder of the month.
  12. I thought I read somewhere that Liberty is finally going to get her amplification prior to the European Summer 2026 season so that will be an improvement over the Independence I’m sure!
  13. I thought I read somewhere that they are building a huge dry dock spot in the Bahamas that can accommodate the Oasis/Icon class or was that something else and I’m mistaken?
  14. Good morning all. We are three weeks away from our first Alaskan cruise and I have a quick question. We are arriving in Anchorage on 8/11 the day before our cruise is scheduled to leave and we purchased ground transportation from the airport to Seward. I was told to "arrive at the airport" on 8/12 to catch the bus down to Seward but was wondering if those who have done this could let me know if there are multiple busses and/or what time should I get to the airport to get the bus. Thanks for any information you can provide!
  15. Given the information we have so far my guess is Icon III will do sailings from Barcelona beginning in May 2026. it will then cross the Atlantic and replace Icon of the Seas alternating E/W itineraries and Icon of the Seas will move to Galveston beginning fall 2026.
  16. I agree but an autumn Transatlantic cruise on Icon III would be quite a good time…
  17. Back in 98 we took our George Foreman grill on Rhapsody of the Seas and it was such a hit with our neighbors and stateroom attendants. Cooked so many dogs and burgs on that sailing, so many happy memories and full tummies...sad that Royal is so strict nowadays!
  18. I am looking into a few options for a January 2026 cruise…really wish they would announce what exactly they are doing for Allure’s amp as that might sway my decision.

  20. Another interesting observation from that is the notation is for Icon 3…so where is Icon of the Seas heading once Icon 3 launches?
  21. Can Iceland accommodate Quantum class ships? What about the inside passage route of Alaska? Replacement ships to fit through the Panama Canal are necessary for repositioning too one would think unless they keep one Pacific fleet and one Caribbean/Atlantic year-to-year. Guess that could be done…
